Abstract

PURPOSE: To provide products of high precision, the variation of spring back amount is reduced by first stretching a material to be treated with a force greater than its yield strength, and then stretchingly bending under load of smaller stretching force.
CONSTITUTION: In stretch bending process, variation of spring back generally occures partly because a variely of yield strength is distributed in a material to be treated. To improve spring back phenomenon, a first tensile which is greater than the maximum yield strength is applied to the material to uniformalize yield strength of the material, and then stretch bending is performed. The process reduces variations relating to neutral axis positions and spring back amount. This results in the reduction of total material variation thereby effecting production of high accuracy.
