Abstract

PURPOSE: To continuously remove adherent substances sticking on the dehydration drum to improve separation performance by fixing a brush to the outer wall surface of a cylinder of a screw drum and cleaning the inside wall surface of a dehydration drum.
CONSTITUTION: When fluid including solid substances flows in through an inlet 32 by revolving an electric motor 1 of a centrifugal separator, this fluid flows through a port 37 into circular space between the screw drum 27 and the dehydration drum 18 as well as it is rotated by the screw drum 27. Consequently, water flows out from a discharge opening 34 through fine holes 16 of the dehydration drum 18. Solid substances 38 remaining near these fine holes 16 are scraped by a spiral plate of the screw drum 27 due to the revolving difference between the screw drum 27 and the dehydration drum 18, sent upward, and guided by a discharge blade 15 to be discharged through a discharge opening 33. At this time, a brush 30, fixed to the screw drum, rubs the inside surface of the dehydration drum 18, removing the said solid substances 38 and preventing loading.
