PURPOSE:To secure an assured confirmation for the busy/idle state of the extension by receiving the busy/idle state signal of the called subscriber with the test telephone set by the function of the marker and via the register marker connector and then displaying the busy/idle state signal at the extension telephone set via the audible signals. CONSTITUTION:When the called number is dialed through test telephone set TSTSUB which is connected via the special number dial to test trunk TST, trunk TST performs counting and storage of the pulses. Then TSTSUB starts marker MK to send the test trunk information and the called subscriber number to marker M. And the busy/idle state signal of called subscriber SUB is received through actuation of marker M and via register maker connector RMC. As a result, the busy/ idle state of other extension telephones can be confirmed easily by an optional extension telephone set stored in the channel device and furthermore displayed at the extension telephone via the audible signal, thus ensuring an assured confirmation for the busy/idle state for the extension.
