Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.複数のボクセルによって表される三次元容積中の物体の存在または不在を 確かめることを支援する方法であって、該物体が、少なくとも一つの寸法でボク セルの直線寸法よりも小さいところで、該方法が、 (a)該三次元容積を放射線走査して、該三次元容積を表す複数のボクセルそ れぞれの性質を測定する段階と、 (b)該性質の類似した値を有するボクセルを識別して、該類似した値を有す る隣接するボクセルの群を識別する段階と、 (c)該隣接するボクセルの群の特徴が所定の値を有するならば、該隣接する ボクセルの群を、該物体を潜在的に含むものとして識別する段階と、 を含む方法。 2.物体が爆発物である、請求項1記載の方法。 3.物体が複合材料における層剥離である、請求項1記載の方法。 4.走査がX線走査を含む、請求項1記載の方法。 5.特徴が隣接する群の質量である、請求項1記載の方法。 6.特徴が隣接する群の容積である、請求項1記載の方法。 7.三次元容積が荷物の内容物を含む、請求項1記載の方法。 8.(a)三次元容積を走査して、該三次元容積を表す複数のボクセルそれぞ れの密度を測定する段階と、 (b)該複数のボクセルのうち、類似した密度を有するボクセルどうしを連結 し、標識する段階と、 (c)類似した密度を有する隣接するボクセルの領域それぞれの容積を測定す る段階と、 (d)そのような隣接する領域それぞれの容積を第一のしきい値に比較し、該 第一のしきい値を超えるような隣接する領域それぞれを疑わしい領域として識別 する段階と、 (e)疑わしい領域それぞれの質量を測定する段階と、 (f)疑わしい領域それぞれの質量を第二のしきい値に比較し、該第二のしき い値を超える疑わしい領域それぞれを、爆発物を潜在的に含む領域として識別す る段階とを含む、爆発物を検出する方法。 9.爆発物の存在または不在を確認するためにさらに検査する段階をさらに含 む、請求項8記載の方法。 10.さらなる検査が手作業での検査を含む、請求項9記載の方法。 11.さらなる検査が中性子呼掛けを含む、請求項9記載の方法。 12.複数のボクセルによって表される三次元容積中の物体の存在または不在 を確かめることを支援する装置であって、該物体が、少なくとも一つの寸法でボ クセルの直線寸法よりも小さいところで、該装置が、 (a)該物体を走査するための走査装置と、 (b)処理装置とを含み、 該処理装置が、 (1)該三次元容積を表す複数のボクセルそれぞれの性質を測定し、該性質の 類似した値を有するボクセルを識別して、該類似した値を有する隣接するボクセ ルの群を識別するための隣接性識別モジュールと、 (2)該隣接するボクセルの群の特徴が所定の値を有するならば、該隣接する ボクセルの群を、該物体を潜在的に含むものとして識別するための物体識別モジ ュールとを含む装置。 13.物体が爆発物である、請求項12記載の装置。 14.物体が複合材料における層剥離である、請求項12記載の装置。 15.走査装置がX線走査装置である、請求項12記載の装置。 16.特徴が隣接する群の質量である、請求項12記載の装置。 17.特徴が隣接する群の容積である、請求項12記載の装置。 18.三次元容積が荷物の内容物を含む、請求項12記載の装置。 19.(a)三次元容積を走査して、該三次元容積を表す複数のボクセルそれ ぞれの密度を測定するための走査装置と、 (b)処理装置とを含み、 該処理装置が、 (1)該複数のボクセルのうち、類似した密度を有するボクセルどうしを連結 し、標識するための隣接性識別モジュールと、 (2)(i)類似した密度を有する隣接するボクセルの領域それぞれの容積を 測定し、 (ii)そのような隣接する領域それぞれの容積を第一のしきい値に比較し、該 第一のしきい値を超えるような隣接する領域それぞれを疑わしい領域として識別 し、 (iii)疑わしい領域それぞれの質量を測定し、 (iv) 疑わしい領域それぞれの質量を第二のしきい値に比較し、該第二のし きい値を超える疑わしい領域それぞれを、爆発物を潜在的に含む領域として識別 するための物体識別モジュールとを含む、爆発物を検出するための装置。 20.(a)三次元容積を走査して、該三次元容積を表す複数のボクセルそれ ぞれの密度を測定する段階と、 (b)該複数のボクセルのうち、類似した密度を有するボクセルどうしを連結 し、標識する段階と、 (c)類似した密度を有する隣接するボクセルの領域それぞれの容積および質 量の少なくとも一方を測定する段階と、 (d)類似した密度を有する隣接する領域それぞれの容積および質量の少なく とも一方を少なくとも一つのしきい値に比較し、しきい値を超える領域それぞれ を、潜在的に爆発物を含む領域として識別する段階と、 を含む、爆発物を検出する方法。
