PURPOSE:To provide replaceability for illuminating element of a liquid crystal display of such a structure that the illuminating element is surrounded by the joints of terminal electrodes at four edges of a glass board of a liquid crystal display element with a circuit board and achieve an electronic apparatus which uses this type of liquid crystal display device as equipped with illuminating element wherein the element can be replaced by incorporating a structure allowing opening and closing of the lid of the casing.
