Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain an adhesive which can provide an improved working environment and is useful as wood or plywood adhesive by adding ammonium carbonate, ammonium bicarbonate or guanidine carbonate to an adhesive composition comprising an amino resin. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive composition suppressed in the formation of free formaldehyde is prepared by adding 0.1-10 pts.wt. at least one member selected from among ammonium carbonate, ammonium bicarbonate and guanidine carbonate to 100 pts.wt. adhesive composition comprising an amino resin such as a urea resin, a urea/melamine cocondensation resin or a phenol/melamine cocondensation resin. According to this process, the working environment can be markedly improved because the formation of a free formaldehyde odor in the mixing and agitation steps in a process for preparing an adhesive in the production of plywood can be markedly suppressed. 合で塗布してこれに表裏単板を貼り合わせた4 mm合板を
製造した。この2種の接着剤による各合板を日本農林規
格(JAS法)による接着力試験ともに放出ホルムアル
デヒド濃度の測定結果を各ブランクと対比して表1に示
す。
