Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a window glass molding wherein sink is not produced, weight can be reduced and freedom of design can be accomplished, and a window glass and molding are integrally formed. CONSTITUTION:Resin is injected into a cavity 6 defined by a glass portion 2 and a molding portion 3 formed around the periphery of the portion 2 which are formed between a fixed mold 4 and a movable mold 5 to form the glass portion 2 and the molding portion 3, following which gas is forced into the portion 3 in a melted state to form a hollow therein. In this manner, a window glass with molding is produced.

[Prior Art] Conventionally, as shown in Japanese Unexamined Patent Publication No. 63-67131, automobile window glasses have been made of plate glass and a molded part made of rubber, vinyl chloride, etc.; There are some types in which the molding part is formed by inserting the mold into a mold and using reaction molding or injection molding. Since such conventional technology involves glass insert molding, it has the following problems.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, although this manufacturing method can reduce the weight of the product, it creates a thick part that includes the glass part and the molding part.
Sinking defects were likely to occur and it was difficult to ensure the appearance quality. FIG. 6 is a partial cross-sectional view of a window glass in which a molding part and glass are integrated, obtained by conventional injection molding. F is an appearance defect called a sink mark, which is a phenomenon caused by the difference in the amount of resin shrinkage in thick-walled and uneven-walled parts of the product. The present invention solves the above problems, does not cause sink marks, and
To provide a method for manufacturing a window glass with molding in which the window glass and molding are integrated, which can reduce the weight and achieve freedom in design.

[Means for Solving the Problems] A technical means for achieving the above object is the shape of a glass part formed between a fixed mold and a movable mold and a molding part arranged around the periphery of the glass part. A window with a molding, characterized in that a glass portion and a molding portion are formed by injecting a resin into a cavity, and after molding, gas is injected into the molding portion in a molten state to make the molding portion hollow. This is a method of manufacturing glass.

Embodiments Examples of the present invention will be described below with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3. FIG. 1 is a front view of a product of an automobile quarter window 1 located at the rear of an automobile, which consists of a transparent glass part 2 and a painted molding part 3. Figure 2 shows
FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view of an injection mold 10 for molding a quarter window 1, which is composed of a fixed mold 4 and a movable mold 5. The fixed mold 4 and the movable mold 5 are closed, and the molten transparent polycarbonate resin is injection molded into the cavity 6. Cavity 6
It is formed from a plate-shaped cavity glass portion 62 and a cavity molding portion 61 located at the periphery of the glass and having a tongue-shaped cross section.

[0010] Next, a gas injector 7 is provided below the molding part 61, and is disposed on the movable mold 5. This gas injector 7 is provided with a gas inlet 71 inside thereof. When the resin is in a molten state, from this gas inlet 71,
Inject gas. Note that the molten resin instantly solidifies when it comes into contact with the cooled mold surface, so the injected gas enters the thick part that is still in a molten state, forming a hollow part 9 as shown in FIG.
