Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform artificial snow production work at a skiing ground regardless of weather conditions. CONSTITUTION:An ice supply path IP and a water supply path WP are arranged parallel so that they commonly use a water-ice supply hose 16 for specified length L1. Thereby, artificial snow is produced while the ice supply path IP and the water supply path WP are selectively used depending upon the weather conditions near a slope of a skiing ground. Therefore, the production cost of a snow production machine 1 is reduced by an amount saved by common use of the water-ice supply hose 16.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, there are two methods for artificial snowfall at ski resorts. The first method is to use an artificial snowmaking machine called a snow fan or snow gun to spray water into the outside air, which has a temperature below freezing, and then spray water that has frozen in the outside air, that is, artificial snow, onto the slopes. . The second method is to crush ice into fine particles or flakes and scatter them on the slopes as artificial snow.

However, these two methods each have their own drawbacks. That is, in the first method, as described above, since artificial snow is made by freezing mist water in the outside air, there is a disadvantage that artificial snow cannot be made unless the outside air temperature is below freezing. Further, although the second method allows artificial snow to be made regardless of the outside temperature, the artificial snow has a drawback that the quality of the snow is slightly different from that of natural snow.

In other words, if the outside air temperature near the ski slope has not reached freezing point, that is, if it exceeds 0 degrees Celsius, spraying water 11 above the ski slope will not produce artificial snow. Therefore, the snow-making operation is performed using only the ice supply path IP of the snow-making device 1 shown in FIG. To do so, first, operate the first switching valve 5 to switch the first water supply pipe 2 to the second
At the same time as communicating with the water supply pipe 6 side, the second switching valve 15 is operated to connect the water/ice supply hose 16 to the carry-in end 16a on the left side in FIG.
is connected to the first ice pipe 10 side, and further, the third switching valve 17
is operated to connect the discharge end 16b of the water/ice supply hose 16 on the right side in FIG. Then, the snow-making device 1 is in a state where the first water supply pipe 2, the second water supply pipe 6, the first ice pipe 10, the water/ice supply hose 16, and the second ice pipe 21 are connected in this order. In this state, the water supply pump 3 is driven to introduce water 11 into the first water supply pipe 2. Then, the introduced water 11 is supplied to the ice maker 9 through the second water supply pipe 6, where it is collected in the form of small lumps or flakes (that is, lumps that are orders of magnitude larger than natural snowflakes).
ice 23 and is stored in the ice storage 12. Therefore,
The feeder 13 is driven to transport the ice 23 stored in the ice storage 12 to the second switching valve 15 side via the first ice pipe 10 (or to directly transport the ice 23 made by the ice maker 9). 1st
It is transported to the second switching valve 15 side via the ice pipe 10. ). Then, the transported ice 23 is transferred to the water/ice supply hose 16.
The ice is supplied to the ice spreading machine 19 through the second ice feeding pipe 21, and from the nozzle 19a of the ice spreading machine 19, the ski slope 2 shown in FIG.
It is scattered towards the sky above the ground 27 of No. 9. As shown in FIG. 2, the ice 23 thus scattered falls and accumulates on the ground 27 of the ski slope 29 as artificial snow. At this time, the temperature above ski slope 29 is above 0 degrees Celsius, but the ice 23 is formed in the form of small lumps or flakes, so compared to natural snow that has a fine crystal structure. Hey, ice 23
The surface area per unit volume of the ice 23, that is, the area exposed to the outside air, becomes smaller, and therefore the melting of the ice 23 progresses more slowly. As a result, the durability of the artificial snow made of the ice 23 is improved, so it is possible to prevent the situation where the ground 27 on the slope 29 is immediately exposed due to melting snow.

[0013] Furthermore, when the outside air temperature near the slope of a ski resort is below freezing, that is, below 0 degrees Celsius at which water freezes into ice, the ice supply path IP of the snow-making device 1 shown in FIG. A snowfall operation is performed using both supply paths WP. That is, first, in the same manner as the above-mentioned procedure, water 11 is introduced into the first water supply pipe 2 by the water supply pump 3, and ice 23 is scattered above the ski slope using the ice supply path IP. Then, on the ground 27 of ski slope 29, as shown in Figure 3,
A root snow layer 25 made of ice 23 is formed.

[0014] When the root snow layer 25 is thus formed on the ground 27 of the ski slope 29, a transition is made to the snow-falling operation using the water supply route WP. To do this, operate the first switching valve 5 of the snow making device 1 shown in FIG. 1 to connect the first water supply pipe 2 to the third water supply pipe 7 side, and operate the second switching valve 15 to The feed end 16a on the left side of the supply hose 16 in FIG.
Connect it to the water supply pipe 7 side, and then operate the third switching valve 17 to connect the discharge end 16b of the water/ice supply hose 16 on the right side in FIG. 1 to the fourth water supply pipe 22 side (that is, the water sprayer 20 side). communicate. Then, the snow-making device 1 is in a state where the first water supply pipe 2, the third water supply pipe 7, the water/ice supply hose 16, and the fourth water supply pipe 22 are connected in this order. As a result, the introduced water 11 is supplied to the water sprayer 20 via the third water supply pipe 7, the water/ice supply hose 16, and the fourth water supply pipe 22, and from the nozzle 20a of the water sprayer 20, as shown in FIG. A mist is ejected into the sky above slope 29. At this time, since the temperature above the ski slope 29 is below freezing, the jetted water 11 freezes above the ski slope 29 and becomes artificial snow, which falls and accumulates on the root snow layer 25 due to its own weight. Then, the root snow layer 25
As shown in FIG. 3, a sliding layer 26 made of artificial snow made by freezing the water 11 is formed in the form of powdered snow. As a result, slope 29 has a base of ground 2, as shown in Figure 3.
A snow root layer 25 is laminated on the snow root layer 7, and a sliding layer 26 is further laminated above the snow root layer 25. Therefore, since the top layer of the slope 29 is a powder snow-like sliding layer 26, it is possible to realize a comfortable slope 29 suitable for sliding motion of skis. Moreover, the lower side of the sliding layer 26 is
Since it is in contact with the root snow layer 25 consisting of ice 23 at a sub-zero temperature,
Compared to the case where the sliding layer 26 is directly laminated on the ground 27,
Since the snow in the sliding layer 26 melts more slowly, the durability of the sliding layer 26 is improved, and the number of times of artificial snow spreading work can be reduced.

As mentioned above, the snow making device 1 includes an ice supply path IP consisting of the second water supply pipe 6, the first ice pipe 10, the water/ice supply hose 16, and the second ice pipe 21; It is configured by combining a water supply path WP consisting of a third water supply pipe 7, a water/ice supply hose 16, and a fourth water supply pipe 22. Moreover, as shown in FIG. 1, the water/ice supply hose 16 is a common route portion of the ice supply route IP and the water supply route WP over a predetermined length L1, so the ice supply hose 16 is Compared to the case where the route IP and the water supply route WP are provided independently and separately, it can contribute to reducing the manufacturing cost of the snow making device 1.

Furthermore, as mentioned above, the water/ice supply hose 16 constituting the snow-making device 1 shown in FIG. is the part beyond the water/ice supply hose 16 of the snow making device 1,
That is, the third switching valve 17, the second ice pipe 21, the ice spreader 19,
It is only necessary to move the fourth water supply pipe 22 and the water sprayer 20, and there is no need to move the entire heavy snow-making device 1. That is, by appropriately setting the length L1 of the flexible water/ice supply hose 16 according to the size of the slope 29 on which snowfall work is to be performed, the snow making device 1 can perform snowfall work over the entire surface of the slope 29. This can be carried out without requiring the entire movement work. Therefore, especially when performing snowfall work at a ski resort having a vast slope 29, the labor and time required for the work can be saved.

In the above embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the water 11 supplied upward in the figure from the same water source (not shown) through the first water supply pipe 2 is transferred to the first switching valve. Although the snow making device 1 capable of selectively supplying water to the second water supply pipe 6 (i.e., the ice supply route IP) and the third water supply pipe 7 (i.e., the water supply route WP) via the water supply pipe 5 has been described, the present invention , a water source that supplies water 11 to the ice supply route IP and a water source that supplies water 11 to the water supply route WP.
It is not necessary that the water sources that supply the water 11 are the same, and the water 11 may be supplied from separate water sources to the ice supply route IP and the water supply route WP, respectively. In that case, it goes without saying that the switching valves such as the first switching valve 5 can be omitted.

[Effects of the Invention] As explained above, according to the present invention,
It has a water/ice supply pipe such as a water/ice supply hose 16 having a predetermined length L1, and a first switching valve such as a second switching valve 15 is provided at one end of the water/ice supply pipe, such as a carry-in end 16a. Through the first water supply pipe 2
, water supply pump 3, second water supply pipe 6, ice maker 9, first ice supply pipe 10, ice storage 12, feeder 13, and other ice supply means; first water supply pipe 2, water supply pump 3, third water supply pipe 7, etc. A water supply means is selectively connected to the water supply means, and an ice spreading machine is connected to the other end of the water/ice supply pipe, such as the discharge end 16b, through a second switching valve such as the third switching valve 17. 19. Since the ice dispersing means such as the second ice feeding pipe 21 and the water spraying means such as the water sprayer 20 and the fourth water supply pipe 22 are connected in such a manner that they can be selectively connected, the water and ice supply pipes can be easily connected. By appropriately operating the first and second switching valves provided at both ends, when the outside temperature exceeds 0 degrees Celsius, the ice supply means, water/ice supply pipe, and ice dispersion means are switched on in sequence. In addition, when the outside temperature is below 0 degrees Celsius, the water supply means, the water/ice supply pipe, and the water spray means are connected in this order. Therefore, it becomes possible to make artificial snow using ice scattering means or water spraying means depending on weather conditions such as high or low outside temperature. As a result, for example, on slope 29 of a ski resort, it is possible to make artificial snow regardless of the outside temperature (therefore, throughout the year), and when the outside temperature is below freezing, it is possible to make artificial snow on slope 29 of a ski resort. It is possible to provide a snow-making device 1 that can make artificial snow of the same quality as natural snow and suitable for operation.
