Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain fed for fowl having excellent improvement of nutrition, improvement of feed efficiency and reinforcing of egg shell by supplying of calcium and having effect against disease of anti-protozoa for fowl by containing calcium salt of middle chain fatty acid. CONSTITUTION:At least 0.5wt.%, preferably 1.0-20wt.% calcium salt of 8-12C middle chain fatty acid (e.g. capric acid, caprylic acid or laurylic acid) is contained in the aimed feed.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION (Industrial Field of Application) The present invention relates to animal feed. More specifically, the present invention relates to a feed for livestock that has excellent effects on improving nutrition, improving feed efficiency, and strengthening eggshells through calcium supplementation.

(Problems to be solved by conventional technology and the invention) In recent years, compound feeds for livestock have been developed with high protein,
There is a trend towards so-called concentrated feed designed to be high in calories. However, feeding such concentrated feed causes great physiological stress on the chickens, putting a strain on the liver, which plays an important role in egg production and increasing productivity, which can lead to liver enlargement and abnormal accumulation of lipids. This is causing problems such as stress and decreased productivity.

Furthermore, although the types and amounts of minerals in the living body of chickens are not unique compared to other animals, the amount of calcium required by chickens that lay eggs is extremely large. This is because calcium is essential for skeletal formation during the separation stage and for eggshell formation.

In particular, the quality of eggshells of laying hens deteriorates significantly after 400 days of age, and even in summer, the quality of eggshells often deteriorates due to high temperature stress.

It usually takes 5 to 50 days from the production site to the general consumption stage.
Approximately 6% of eggs were damaged. Therefore, calcium sources in the form of inorganic substances such as calcium carbonate, calcium phosphate, and oyster shells are added to compound feeds for the purpose of improving eggshells, but this has not yet resulted in a sufficient reduction in the egg breaking rate.

We discovered that it has an excellent effect on improving abnormal fat accumulation and further improving the absorption of calcium sources.
The present invention has now been completed.

The fatty acids used in the present invention, such as 08-C1□ capric acid, caprylic acid, and lauric acid, are generally called medium-chain fatty acids, and in ordinary animals, they are absorbed through the lymphatic system compared to conventional long-chain fatty acids. On the other hand, since it is carried out in the portal vein system, it has the characteristics that the absorption rate is fast, there is no accumulation, and most of it is consumed as energy. Further, according to the calcium salt of the present invention, the absorbability of calcium can be improved by converting calcium into a type of organic chelate form instead of the conventional inorganic form. As the calcium salt, calcium salts of capric acid and caprylic acid are preferred.

The present inventors have investigated the effect of reducing egg-laying rate and increasing egg-breakage rate due to summer high temperature stress in hens, especially egg-laying hens. As the feeding rate increased, the egg-laying rate improved and the egg-breaking rate was also reduced.

In addition, when a specific amount of the calcium salt of the medium-chain fatty acid of the present invention was added to the feed of chickens for meat, especially broilers, these effects did not affect the increase in biomass, but the formation of body fat It was found that it has an excellent effect on improving meat quality by suppressing only.

Initially, for egg-laying hens, we investigated the effects of calcium salts of long-chain fatty acids and sodium salts of medium-chain fatty acids on egg-laying rate and egg-breakage rate. Perhaps there was a problem with the absorption of fatty acids, but there was no improvement in egg production rate or egg breaking rate.
Furthermore, although the sodium salt of medium-chain fatty acids slightly improved the egg-laying rate, no improvement in the egg-breaking rate was observed. Regarding this, only the calcium salt of medium chain fatty acid used in the present invention exhibited a significant effect.

Similarly, for broilers, we investigated the effect of suppressing live weight increase and body fat formation using calcium salts of long-chain fatty acids, but it was clear that only the calcium salts of medium-chain fatty acids of the present invention were effective in reducing body fat. Calcium salts of long-chain fatty acids had no inhibitory effect on body fat formation.

The amount of the calcium salt of medium-chain fatty acid of Cl1-CI□ used in the present invention added in the feed is 0.5% by weight or more, preferably 1.0 to 20% by weight. In addition, conventional formulated feeds contain natural fats and oils (triglycerides of long-chain fatty acids whose main components are fatty acids with 16 to 18 carbon atoms), but in place of all or part of the natural fats and oils, medium-chain fatty acids according to the present invention can be added. The object of the present invention can be achieved even if a calcium salt of 1 or more is added.
