Generally, moldings attached to automobile bodies, bumpers, etc. are used for protection and to enhance aesthetics. In recent years, moldings have been manufactured continuously by extruding molten synthetic resin from extrusion molds to achieve mass production. We are trying to FIG. 1 is a cross-sectional view showing an example of molding as a weather strip. As shown in the figure, this type of molding consists of a core material 1 made of galvanized steel plate and formed into an approximately inverted U shape. , a surface material 2 made of synthetic resin that covers the inner and outer surfaces of the core material, a lip 3 that protrudes in the direction of the vertically moving window glass and removes dust, moisture, etc. from the surface of the window glass, and the surface material 2 A decorative member 4 made of a stainless steel plate or stainless steel foil is attached to the outer surface of the window, and this molding M is attached to the edge of the window with a clip or the like (not shown).

Such moldings are manufactured by an apparatus such as that shown in FIG. In Figure 2,
Reference numeral 10 denotes a drum on which the core material 1 such as the galvanized steel plate described above is wound. An adhesive is applied to the surface of the core material 1 sent out from this drum 10 by an adhesive application device 11, and then the core material 1 is rolled up. The material 1 is provided to a high frequency heating device 12, and the adhesive can be heated and baked onto the surface of the core material 1 in this heating process, and then the core material 1 is provided to a cooling tank 13, where it is heated and baked. It is then water cooled. Next, the core material 1 is wiped off by the wiping device 14.

Here, the decorative member 4 is fed out from the drum 23 and then guided to the guide hole 18.
In this case, the cross-sectional shape of the guide hole 18 is set so that it has a predetermined cross-sectional shape after the decorative member 4 is integrated with the molding M as shown in FIG.
In this embodiment, it is formed into a substantially C-shape. Therefore, the decorative member 4 is deformed into a C-shaped cross section while being guided through the guide hole 18, and has a substantially C-shaped cross section.
It is formed into a letter shape and guided to the extrusion port 19. The decorative member 4 extruded from the extrusion port 19 by deforming the decorative member 4 through the guide hole 18 provided in the extrusion mold 16 is integrated into the molding M while maintaining its deformed state. That will happen.

However, if the decorative member 4 is bent and molded by the guide hole 18 of the extrusion mold 16, the decorative member 4 will be bent through the guide hole 18 of the extrusion mold 16.
8, the surface of the decorative member 4 is scratched due to abrasion with the wall surface, and since the scratches are visible, the aesthetic appearance is significantly impaired. Furthermore, the cross-sectional shape of the inner wall of the guide hole 18 is gradually deformed due to the friction of the decorative member 4, resulting in a disadvantage that the life of the extrusion mold 16 is shortened.

It is an object of the present invention to subject the core material and the decorative member to an adhesive applicator in parallel and close proximity to each other and synchronously before simultaneously introducing the core material and the decorative member into an extrusion mold, and to The core material is bent into a predetermined cross-sectional shape by a roll forming machine equipped with respective forming rolls, and the bent core material is introduced into an extrusion molding shape so that its path is straight. The decorative member is introduced into the extrusion mold by bending its path so as to bring it close to the core material, thereby reducing friction between the decorative member and the guide hole and eliminating the above-mentioned drawbacks, This will be explained in detail below using examples.

FIG. 5 is a plan view showing an embodiment of the molding extrusion method according to the present invention, and the same parts as in FIG. 2 are designated by the same reference numerals. In the present invention, the decorative member 4 sent out from the drum 23
is sent out parallel to the core material 1 both in position and time. That is, the adhesive applicator 1 along with the core material 1
1, the adhesive is applied to the surface of the decorative member 4, heated by a high-frequency heating device 12 to bake the adhesive, cooled with water in a cooling tank 13, and then wiped off by a wiping device 14. Next, the core material 1 and the decorative member 4 are introduced into the roll forming machine 15A. This roll forming machine 15A has two rolls 15a, 1
5b, as shown in FIG. 1, the decorative member 4 is formed by rolls 15b into a substantially C-shaped cross section, while the core material 1 is formed into a substantially inverted U-shape by rolls 15a. The roll-formed decorative member 4 and the core material 1 are extruded through the respective guide holes 18A of the extrusion mold 16A.
17A, and extruded from the extrusion port 19 together with the molten synthetic resin G introduced into the extrusion mold 16A. In this case, the core material 1 is rigid and cannot be easily deformed, so it always remains in a straight line and is guided to the final process, but the decorative member 4 is removed before being introduced into the extrusion mold 16A. The guide direction of the extrusion mold 16 is deformed in the direction of the extrusion mold 16A at the portion S.

According to the above configuration, before introducing the decorative member 4 into the extrusion mold 16A, it is roll-formed as a molding in advance so as to have the completed cross-sectional shape, and then, after bending its course so as to approach the core material 1, Since the decorative member 4 is introduced into the guide hole 18A of the extrusion mold 16A, the decorative member 4 is introduced into the guide hole 18A of the extrusion mold 16A.
After being introduced, it bends only slightly near the extrusion port 19. Therefore, in the process of this decorative member passing through the guide hole 18A of the extrusion mold, no friction occurs between the guide hole 18A and the inner wall, and therefore no scratches or the like are caused on the surface of the decorative member 4. without wearing it,
Further, the inner wall of the guide hole 18A will not wear out. Therefore, the aesthetic appearance of the surface of the decorative member in molding can be improved, and the life of the extrusion mold can be extended.

Moreover, since the decorative member 4 and the core material 1 are sent out at the same time in parallel and close to each other, a set of the adhesive applicator 11 and the roll forming machine 15A (the rolls are a core material roll 15a and a decorative member roll 15b) are used.
There are two types. ) can process both parts, making it easier to manage each device.

As explained above, according to the extrusion molding method of the present invention, before introducing the core material and the decorative member into the extrusion mold at the same time, the core material and the decorative member are placed close to each other in a parallel state and synchronously. At the same time, the core material is bent into a predetermined cross-sectional shape by a roll forming machine equipped with rolls for forming both members, and the bent core material is made to have a straight path. On the other hand, the bent decorative member is introduced into the extrusion mold by bending its path so as to bring it close to the core material, so that wear inside the extrusion mold can be reduced. This eliminates the possibility of damaging the surface of the decorative member, making it possible to produce moldings with excellent aesthetic appeal.
