Description

The present invention relates to a fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion and a method for producing a carbon nanostructure film using the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion.

In recent years, as a material having excellent electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity and mechanical properties, a fibrous carbon material, particularly a fibrous carbon nanostructure such as a carbon nanotube (hereinafter sometimes referred to as “CNT”) has attracted attention. ing.

However, since the fibrous carbon nanostructure such as CNT is a fine structure having a diameter of nanometer size, handling and workability are poor when used alone. Therefore, for example, a dispersion liquid in which CNTs are dispersed is prepared, and this dispersion liquid is applied to a substrate or the like, so that a plurality of CNTs are aggregated in a film shape, and carbon, which is a kind of carbon nanostructure film, is formed. It has been proposed to form a nanotube film (hereinafter sometimes referred to as a “CNT film”) and use the CNT film as a conductive film or the like. As a dispersion liquid in which CNTs are dispersed, for example, a dispersion liquid containing CNT, a molecular additive, and a solvent is known (Patent Document 1).

US Patent Application Publication No. 2013/0224934

However, in the dispersion described in Patent Document 1, a large amount of a molecular additive had to be used in order to form a CNT film having excellent adhesion. Therefore, in the CNT film formed using the dispersion described in Patent Document 1, the performance such as conductivity, thermal conductivity, and mechanical properties is sufficiently improved due to the molecular additive mixed in the CNT film. I couldn't do that.

Therefore, the present invention uses a fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion capable of obtaining a carbon nanostructure film having excellent adhesion with a smaller amount of a molecular additive, and the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion. It is an object of the present invention to provide a method for producing a carbon nanostructured film.

The present inventor has conducted intensive studies to achieve the above object. The present inventor has found that by using a specific fibrous carbon nanostructure, a fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion liquid capable of forming a carbon nanostructure film having excellent adhesion with a smaller amount of a molecular additive can be obtained. The inventors have found that the present invention can be obtained, and completed the present invention.

That is, an object of the present invention is to advantageously solve the above-mentioned problems, and the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion of the present invention (hereinafter, may be simply referred to as “dispersion”) has an adsorption isothermal. The t-plot obtained from the line includes a fibrous carbon nanostructure showing an upwardly convex shape, a molecular additive, and a solvent. By using the fibrous carbon nanostructure in which the t-plot obtained from the adsorption isotherm shows an upwardly convex shape, a carbon nanostructure film having excellent adhesion can be formed even with a small amount of a molecular additive. .

Here, in the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion liquid of the present invention, the position of the inflection point in the t-plot preferably satisfies 0.2 ≦ t (nm) ≦ 1.5. By using a fibrous carbon nanostructure in which the position of the inflection point in the t-plot satisfies 0.2 ≦ t (nm) ≦ 1.5, a carbon nanostructure film having excellent adhesion with a small amount of a molecular additive Can be formed.

In the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion of the present invention, the total specific surface area S1 and the internal specific surface area S2 obtained from the t-plot preferably satisfy 0.05 ≦ S2 / S1 ≦ 0.30. By using a fibrous carbon nanostructure in which the total specific surface area S1 and the internal specific surface area S2 obtained from the t-plot satisfy 0.05 ≦ S2 / S1 ≦ 0.30, adhesion can be improved with a small amount of a molecular additive. An excellent carbon nanostructure film can be formed.

Furthermore, in the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion of the present invention, it is preferable that the fibrous carbon nanostructure contains carbon nanotubes. If a dispersion liquid containing carbon nanotubes is used as the fibrous carbon nanostructure, a carbon nanostructure film having more excellent conductivity and strength can be formed.

In the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion of the present invention, the molecular additive includes at least one Group 14 element selected from the group consisting of Si, Ge, Sn, and Pb,
At least three of the four bonds of the Group 14 element are directly bonded to at least one atom selected from the group consisting of O, N, P, F, Cl, Br, I, and H. Is preferred. When such a molecular additive is used, a carbon nanostructure film having excellent adhesion can be formed with a smaller amount of the molecular additive.

In the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion of the present invention, the concentration of the Group 14 element in the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion is preferably 0.5 to 60 ppm by mass.

Furthermore, in the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion liquid of the present invention, the solvent is preferably water, a non-aqueous solvent, or a mixture thereof.

In the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion of the present invention, it is preferable that the fibrous carbon nanostructure is functionalized.

Another object of the present invention is to advantageously solve the above-mentioned problems. A method for producing a carbon nanostructure film according to the present invention uses the above-described fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion liquid to form a base. Forming a layer of fibrous carbon nanostructures on the material. By using the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion liquid described above, a carbon nanostructure film having excellent adhesion can be formed with a small amount of a molecular additive.

Then, in the method for producing a carbon nanostructure film of the present invention, it is preferable that the substrate on which the fibrous carbon nanostructure layer is formed is further fired in the air at 100 to 300 ° C. If the substrate on which the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion is applied is fired in the air at 100 to 300 ° C., a carbon nanostructure film having more excellent conductivity and strength can be formed.

According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion liquid capable of forming a carbon nanostructure film having excellent adhesion even when the content of the molecular additive is small.

FIG. 1 is a graph showing an example of a t-plot of a sample having pores on the surface.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail.

(Fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion)
The fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion of the present invention contains a fibrous carbon nanostructure in which the t-plot obtained from the adsorption isotherm shows a convex shape, a molecular additive, and a solvent.

In the conventional dispersion described in Patent Literature 1, it was necessary to use a large amount of a molecular additive in order to form a CNT film having excellent adhesion. However, the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion of the present invention uses a fibrous carbon nanostructure in which the t-plot obtained from the adsorption isotherm shows an upwardly convex shape. Thus, a carbon nanostructure film having excellent adhesion can be obtained.

<Fibrous carbon nanostructure>
Here, the fibrous carbon nanostructure used for the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion liquid is not particularly limited as long as the t-plot obtained from the adsorption isotherm shows an upwardly convex shape. For example, carbon nanotubes, vapor-grown carbon fibers, and the like can be used. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
Above all, it is preferable to use a fibrous carbon nanostructure containing a carbon nanotube as the fibrous carbon nanostructure having an upwardly convex t-plot. If a fibrous carbon nanostructure containing carbon nanotubes is used, a dispersion that can further form a carbon nanostructure film having excellent conductivity and strength can be obtained.
In the present specification, the “carbon nanostructure film” refers to a film made of an aggregate of fibrous carbon nanostructures such as carbon nanotubes.

The fibrous carbon nanostructure containing carbon nanotubes is not particularly limited, and may be composed of only carbon nanotubes (CNT), or may be CNT and fibrous carbon nanostructures other than CNT. May be used.
In addition, it is more preferable that the fibrous carbon nanostructure including the carbon nanotube is not subjected to the opening treatment of the CNT, and the t-plot shows an upwardly convex shape.

Here, in general, adsorption is a phenomenon in which gas molecules are removed from a gas phase to a solid surface, and is classified into physical adsorption and chemical adsorption based on the cause. In the nitrogen gas adsorption method used for obtaining the t-plot, physical adsorption is used. In general, if the adsorption temperature is constant, the number of nitrogen gas molecules adsorbed on the fibrous carbon nanostructure increases as the pressure increases. A plot of the relative pressure (the ratio between the pressure P in the adsorption equilibrium state and the saturated vapor pressure P0) on the horizontal axis and the nitrogen gas adsorption amount on the vertical axis is called an “isothermal line”. The case where the amount was measured is called "adsorption isotherm", and the case where the nitrogen gas adsorption amount was measured while decreasing the pressure is called "desorption isotherm".
The t-plot is obtained by converting the relative pressure into the average thickness t (nm) of the nitrogen gas adsorption layer in the adsorption isotherm measured by the nitrogen gas adsorption method. That is, the above conversion is performed by obtaining the average thickness t of the nitrogen gas adsorption layer corresponding to the relative pressure from the known standard isotherm plotting the average thickness t of the nitrogen gas adsorption layer with respect to the relative pressure P / P0. Gives a t-plot of the fibrous carbon nanostructure (t-plot method by de Boer et al.).

Here, a typical t-plot of a sample having pores on the surface is shown in FIG. In a sample having pores on the surface, the growth of the nitrogen gas adsorption layer is classified into the following processes (1) to (3). Then, the following processes (1) to (3) change the slope of the t-plot as shown in FIG.
(1) Formation of a monomolecular adsorption layer of nitrogen molecules on the entire surface (2) Formation of a multimolecular adsorption layer and a condensing capillary filling process in the pores (3) Apparent pores filled with nitrogen Formation process of multi-molecular adsorption layer on non-porous surface

The t-plot of the fibrous carbon nanostructure used in the present invention is, as shown in FIG. 1, in a region where the average thickness t of the nitrogen gas adsorption layer is small, although the plot is located on a straight line passing through the origin. On the other hand, when t increases, the plot becomes a position shifted downward from the straight line, and shows a shape that is upwardly convex. In the shape of the t-plot, the ratio of the internal specific surface area to the total specific surface area of the fibrous carbon nanostructure is large, and a large number of openings are formed in the carbon nanostructure constituting the fibrous carbon nanostructure. Is shown.

The position of the inflection point in the t-plot of the fibrous carbon nanostructure is preferably in a range satisfying 0.2 ≦ t (nm) ≦ 1.5, and 0.45 ≦ t (nm) ≦ 1. .5, more preferably 0.55 ≦ t (nm) ≦ 1.0. When the position of the inflection point in the t-plot is within the above range, a carbon nanostructure film having excellent adhesion can be formed with a smaller amount of the molecular additive.
Here, the “position of the inflection point” is the intersection of the approximate straight line A in the process (1) and the approximate straight line B in the process (3).

Furthermore, in the fibrous carbon nanostructure, the ratio (S2 / S1) of the internal specific surface area S2 to the total specific surface area S1 obtained from the t-plot is preferably 0.05 or more and 0.30 or less. When S2 / S1 is 0.05 or more and 0.30 or less, a carbon nanostructure film having excellent adhesion can be formed with a smaller amount of the molecular additive.
The total specific surface area S1 and an internal specific surface area S2 of the fibrous carbon nanostructure, but are not limited to, the individual, S1 is preferably at 600 meters 2 / g or more 1400 m 2 / g or less, 800 m 2 / G or more and 1200 m 2 / g or less. On the other hand, S2 is preferably 30 m 2 / g or more and 540 m 2 / g or less.
Here, the total specific surface area S1 and the internal specific surface area S2 of the fibrous carbon nanostructure can be obtained from the t-plot. Specifically, referring to the t-plot shown in FIG. 1, first, the total specific surface area S1 is obtained from the slope of the approximate straight line in the process (1), and the external specific surface area S3 is obtained from the slope of the approximate straight line in the process (3). Can be obtained respectively. Then, the internal specific surface area S2 can be calculated by subtracting the external specific surface area S3 from the total specific surface area S1.

Incidentally, the measurement of the adsorption isotherm of the fibrous carbon nanostructure, the creation of the t-plot, and the calculation of the total specific surface area S1 and the internal specific surface area S2 based on the analysis of the t-plot are performed, for example, by using a commercially available measuring device. "BELSORP (registered trademark) -mini" (manufactured by Nippon Bell Co., Ltd.).

When a fibrous carbon nanostructure containing CNTs is used, the CNTs in the fibrous carbon nanostructure are not particularly limited, and single-walled carbon nanotubes and / or multi-walled carbon nanotubes can be used. However, the CNT is preferably a single-wall to five-wall carbon nanotube, and more preferably a single-wall carbon nanotube.

Further, as the fibrous carbon nanostructure, the ratio (3σ / Av) of the value (3σ) obtained by multiplying the standard deviation (σ) of the diameter by 3 to the average diameter (Av) is more than 0.20 and less than 0.60. It is preferable to use the fibrous carbon nanostructure of 3? / Av more than 0.25, and it is more preferable to use the fibrous carbon nanostructure of 3? / Av more than 0.40. It is more preferred to use If a fibrous carbon nanostructure having 3σ / Av of more than 0.20 and less than 0.60 is used, a carbon nanostructure film having more excellent adhesion of the fibrous carbon nanostructure can be obtained.
The “average diameter (Av) of the fibrous carbon nanostructure” and “the standard deviation of the diameter of the fibrous carbon nanostructure (σ: sample standard deviation)” are each randomly determined using a transmission electron microscope. Can be obtained by measuring the diameter (outer diameter) of 100 fibrous carbon nanostructures selected in (1). Then, the average diameter (Av) and the standard deviation (σ) of the fibrous carbon nanostructure may be adjusted by changing the manufacturing method and manufacturing conditions of the fibrous carbon nanostructure, or may be obtained by different manufacturing methods. It may be adjusted by combining a plurality of the obtained fibrous carbon nanostructures.

And, as the fibrous carbon nanostructure, the diameter measured as described above is plotted on the horizontal axis, the frequency is plotted on the vertical axis, and when Gaussian approximation is taken, a normal distribution is usually used. Is done.

Furthermore, the fibrous carbon nanostructure preferably has a Radial Breathing Mode (RBM) peak when evaluated using Raman spectroscopy. Note that no RBM exists in the Raman spectrum of the fibrous carbon nanostructure composed of only three or more multi-walled carbon nanotubes.

The fibrous carbon nanostructure preferably has a ratio of G band peak intensity to D band peak intensity (G / D ratio) of 1 to 20 in the Raman spectrum. When the G / D ratio is 1 or more and 20 or less, it is possible to obtain a carbon nanostructure film having more excellent adhesion of the fibrous carbon nanostructure.

Further, the average diameter (Av) of the fibrous carbon nanostructure is preferably at least 0.5 nm, more preferably at least 1 nm, preferably at most 15 nm, more preferably at most 10 nm. preferable. When the average diameter (Av) of the fibrous carbon nanostructures is 0.5 nm or more and 15 nm or less, a carbon nanostructure film having more excellent adhesion of the fibrous carbon nanostructures can be obtained.

The average length of the fibrous carbon nanostructure at the time of synthesis is preferably 100 μm or more. In addition, as the length of the structure at the time of synthesis is longer, the fibrous carbon nanostructure is more likely to be damaged or broken at the time of dispersion. Therefore, the average length of the structure at the time of synthesis is 5000 μm or less. Is preferred.
The aspect ratio (length / diameter) of the fibrous carbon nanostructure preferably exceeds 10. The aspect ratio of the fibrous carbon nanostructure was determined by measuring the diameter and length of 100 randomly selected fibrous carbon nanostructures using a transmission electron microscope, and measuring the ratio of the diameter to the length (length). (Diameter / diameter).

Further, BET specific surface area of the fibrous carbon nanostructure is preferably 400 meters 2 / g or more, more preferably 800 m 2 / g or more, is preferably from 2500m 2 / g, 1200m 2 / G or less. When the BET specific surface area of the fibrous carbon nanostructure is 400 m 2 / g or more, the strength and self-sustainability of the carbon nanostructure film formed using the obtained dispersion can be further increased. Further, when the BET specific surface area of the fibrous carbon nanostructure is 2500 m 2 / g or less, the adhesion of the obtained carbon nanostructure film can be further enhanced.
In addition, in this invention, "BET specific surface area" points out the nitrogen adsorption specific surface area measured using the BET method.

Here, according to the super-growth method described later, the above-mentioned fibrous carbon nanostructure is an aggregate that is oriented on a substrate having a catalyst layer for growing carbon nanotubes on a surface thereof in a direction substantially perpendicular to the substrate. Although it is obtained as (alignment aggregate), the mass density of the fibrous carbon nanostructure as the aggregate is preferably 0.002 g / cm 3 or more and 0.2 g / cm 3 or less. When the mass density is 0.2 g / cm 3 or less, the binding between the fibrous carbon nanostructures in the liquid is weakened, so that the fibrous carbon nanostructures are homogeneously dispersed in the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion. Can be dispersed. Further, when the mass density is 0.002 g / cm 3 or more, the handling of the fibrous carbon nanostructure can be facilitated because the integrity of the fibrous carbon nanostructure can be improved and the dispersion can be suppressed.

Further, the fibrous carbon nanostructure preferably has a plurality of micropores. The fibrous carbon nanostructure preferably has, among others, micropores having a pore size smaller than 2 nm, and the abundance thereof is preferably at least 0.40 mL / g, more preferably at least 0.40 mL / g by the following method. It is preferably at least 0.43 mL / g, more preferably at least 0.45 mL / g, and the upper limit is usually about 0.65 mL / g. When the fibrous carbon nanostructure has the micropores as described above, the fibrous carbon nanostructure hardly aggregates in the dispersion. The micropore volume can be adjusted, for example, by appropriately changing the preparation method and preparation conditions of the fibrous carbon nanostructure.
Here, the “micropore volume (Vp)” is obtained by measuring a nitrogen adsorption / desorption isotherm of the fibrous carbon nanostructure at a liquid nitrogen temperature (77 K), and the nitrogen adsorption amount at a relative pressure P / P0 = 0.19 Can be calculated from the equation (I): Vp = (V / 22414) × (M / ρ). Here, P is the measurement pressure at the time of adsorption equilibrium, P0 is the saturated vapor pressure of liquid nitrogen at the time of measurement, and in the formula (I), M is the molecular weight of the adsorbate (nitrogen) 28.010, and ρ is the adsorbate (nitrogen). ) Is 0.808 g / cm 3 at 77K. The micropore volume can be determined using, for example, “BELSORP (registered trademark) -mini” (manufactured by Nippon Bell Co., Ltd.).

For example, the fibrous carbon nanostructure is obtained by supplying a raw material compound and a carrier gas onto a base material having a catalyst layer for producing carbon nanotubes on a surface thereof, and converting CNTs by chemical vapor deposition (CVD). A method in which a very small amount of an oxidizing agent (catalytic activator) is present in the system during the synthesis to dramatically improve the catalytic activity of the catalyst layer (super growth method; see WO 2006/011655). In the above, by forming the catalyst layer on the surface of the base material by a wet process, the catalyst layer can be efficiently manufactured. Hereinafter, the carbon nanotube obtained by the super growth method may be referred to as “SGCNT”.

The fibrous carbon nanostructure manufactured by the super growth method may be composed of only SGCNT, or may be composed of SGCNT and non-cylindrical carbon nanostructure having conductivity. . Specifically, the fibrous carbon nanostructure has a single-layer or multilayer flat cylindrical carbon nanostructure (hereinafter, referred to as "graphene nanotape") having a tape-like portion whose inner walls are close to or adhered to each other over the entire length. (GNT) ").

Here, GNT is presumed to be a substance in which a tape-shaped portion in which the inner walls are close to or adhered to each other has been formed over the entire length from the time of its synthesis, and a six-membered ring network of carbon is formed in a flat cylindrical shape. You. The fact that the shape of the GNT is a flat cylindrical shape, and the presence of a tape-shaped portion in which the inner walls are close to each other or adhered to each other means that the GNT and the fullerene (C60) are sealed in a quartz tube, for example. When the fullerene-inserted GNT obtained by heat treatment (fullerene insertion treatment) under reduced pressure is observed with a transmission electron microscope (TEM), there is a portion (tape portion) where the fullerene is not inserted in the GNT. You can check.

The shape of the GNT is preferably a shape having a tape-shaped portion at the center in the width direction, and the shape of the cross section orthogonal to the extending direction (axial direction) is a cross-sectional length near both ends in the cross-sectional longitudinal direction. The maximum dimension in the direction orthogonal to the direction is more preferably a shape that is larger than the maximum dimension in the direction orthogonal to the cross-sectional longitudinal direction, in the vicinity of the center in the cross-sectional longitudinal direction, and it is particularly preferably a dumbbell shape. preferable.
Here, in the cross-sectional shape of the GNT, “in the vicinity of the center in the cross-sectional longitudinal direction” refers to the longitudinal width of the cross-section from the longitudinal center line of the cross-section (a straight line passing through the longitudinal center of the cross-section and orthogonal to the longitudinal line) And "the vicinity of the end in the longitudinal direction of the cross section" means a region outside in the longitudinal direction of "the vicinity of the central portion in the longitudinal direction of the cross section".

In addition, the fibrous carbon nanostructure containing GNT as a non-cylindrical carbon nanostructure has a catalyst layer on the surface when synthesizing CNT by a super growth method using a substrate having a catalyst layer on the surface. It can be obtained by forming a substrate (hereinafter, sometimes referred to as a “catalyst substrate”) by a predetermined method. Specifically, the fibrous carbon nanostructure containing GNT is prepared by applying a coating solution A containing an aluminum compound on a substrate, drying the applied coating solution A, and drying an aluminum thin film (catalyst) on the substrate. After forming the support layer), a coating liquid B containing an iron compound is applied on the aluminum thin film, and the applied coating liquid B is dried at a temperature of 50 ° C. or lower to dry the iron thin film (catalyst layer) on the aluminum thin film. ) Can be obtained by synthesizing CNT by a super-growth method using the catalyst substrate obtained by forming (1).

Al、Sb、As、Ba、Be、Bi、B、Cd、Ca、Cr、Co、Cu、Ga、Ge、Fe、Pb、Li、Mg、Mn、Mo、Ni、K、Na、Sr、Sn、Ti、W、V、Zn、Zr等の金属元素及びこれらを含む金属化合物が挙げられる。
From the viewpoint that the fibrous carbon nanostructure has a reduced amount of impurities in the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion and can produce a long-life electronic component with stable characteristics, the metal impurities contained in the fibrous carbon nanostructure are Is preferably less than 5000 ppm, more preferably less than 1000 ppm.
In this specification, the concentration of metal impurities contained in the fibrous carbon nanostructure may be, for example, a transmission electron microscope (TEM), a scanning electron microscope (SEM), an energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX), It can be measured by a decomposition apparatus and ICP mass spectrometry (VPD, ICP / MS).
Here, the metal impurities include, for example, metal catalysts used in producing the fibrous carbon nanostructure, and include, for example, alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, groups 3 to 13, and lanthanoid groups. Metal elements such as Si, Sb, As, Pb, Sn, Bi and the like; and metal compounds containing these. More specifically, Al, Sb, As, Ba, Be, Bi, B, Cd, Ca, Cr, Co, Cu, Ga, Ge, Fe, Pb, Li, Mg, Mn, Mo, Ni, K, Examples include metal elements such as Na, Sr, Sn, Ti, W, V, Zn, and Zr and metal compounds containing these.

From the viewpoint of further improving the dispersibility of the fibrous carbon nanostructure in the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion liquid, the fibrous carbon nanostructure substantially contains particulate impurities having a particle diameter of more than 500 nm. It is more preferable that no particulate impurities having a particle size of more than 300 nm are substantially contained, and it is further preferable that no particulate impurities having a particle size of more than 100 nm are substantially contained. It is particularly preferred that particulate impurities larger than 45 nm are not substantially contained.
In the present specification, the concentration of the particulate impurities can be measured by applying a fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion on a substrate, and measuring the surface using “surfscan” manufactured by KLA Tencor Corporation or the like. . Further, in the present specification, “particulate impurities are not substantially contained” means that the particulate matter is actively removed except for the particulate matter inevitably mixed and the particulate matter generated from the molecular additive. Means not to be blended.

The fibrous carbon nanostructure may be unfunctionalized or may be functionalized, but the fibrous carbon nanostructure has a dispersibility in a solvent. From a viewpoint, it is preferable that it is functionalized. The method for functionalizing the fibrous carbon nanostructure is not particularly limited, and any method can be used. For example, the fibrous carbon nanostructure is oxidized by an oxidizing acid such as nitric acid, and at least one functional group selected from the group consisting of a hydroxyl group, an aldehyde group, a carbonyl group, and a carboxyl group is added to the fibrous carbon nanostructure. Can be formed in the body.

<Molecular additive>
A molecular additive is added to the dispersion. By using a molecular additive, when a carbon nanostructure film is formed on a substrate using the dispersion, the adhesion between the carbon nanostructure film and the substrate can be improved. The molecular additive is not particularly limited, and any additive can be used. It is preferable that the molecular additive is soluble in a solvent contained in the dispersion. For example, when water is used as the solvent, it is preferable to use a water-soluble substance as the molecular additive.

Further, it is preferable that the molecular additive does not contain a metal ion. As will be described later, when a metal impurity is contained in the dispersion, the electrical characteristics of the carbon nanostructure film formed using the dispersion may decrease. Therefore, it is preferable that the molecular additive does not contain a metal ion, a metal oxide and a metal complex that can be a metal ion source.

Further, it is preferable that the molecular additive does not decrease the stability of the dispersion. In other words, it is preferable that the molecular additive does not decrease the stability of the dispersion as a colloidal dispersion system and does not shorten the storage life. The storage life of the dispersion is 3 to 5 nm or more, and the size of particles such as silicate which can be observed with an SEM or an optical microscope is generated, and colloidal oxides such as silica are often formed as nuclei. The determination can be made based on the formation of the aggregate of nanotubes described above.

Further, the molecular additive adversely affects the quality of the carbon nanostructure film formed using the dispersion and the electrical characteristics when the carbon nanostructure film is used for a semiconductor device such as a nonvolatile memory. Is preferable.

As the molecular additive, it is preferable to use at least one of a compound capable of forming an oxide in the dispersion and the oxide itself. Further, (1) a compound which contains a Group 14 element and an oxygen atom in a molecule and is soluble in the dispersion, and (2) a compound which can generate an oxide of a Group 14 element in the dispersion. More preferably, at least one selected from the group consisting of a group-group element-containing compound and (3) an oxide of a group 14 element itself is used as the molecular additive. As the Group 14 element, it is further preferable to use at least one selected from the group consisting of Si, Ge, Sn, and Pb. Specifically, for example, it includes at least one Group 14 element selected from the group consisting of Si, Ge, Sn, and Pb, and at least three of the four bonds of the Group 14 element are O, More preferably, a molecule directly bonded to at least one atom selected from the group consisting of N, P, F, Cl, Br, I and H is used. By using such a molecular additive together with the fibrous carbon nanostructure, a dispersion liquid capable of forming a carbon nanostructure film having better adhesion can be obtained.

Examples of the molecular additive include a silicon oxide such as SiO 2 ; a silicon halide such as SiCl 4 ; a silicon alkoxide such as silicon tetraethoxide; and dichlorosilane. Further, for example, a cage compound containing an O atom and at least eight Si atoms in a molecule can also be used as the molecular additive. As the cage compound, for example, silsesquioxane can be used. Note that silsesquioxane can have various three-dimensional shapes such as a cube, a hexagonal prism, and an octagonal prism. However, in this specification, a molecule is “cage-shaped” in which atoms constituting the molecule are covalently bonded. In this case, it means that a polyhedron having symmetry is formed.

The silsesquioxane may have one or more substituents bonded to a Si atom, and the substituent may be, for example, hydrogen, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, an aryl group, an arylene group, —O , —CH 2 CH 2 (OCH 2 CH 2 ) m OCH 3 ( m to 13.3), —CH 2 CH 2 CH 2 N + H 3 Cl , —CH 2 CH 2 CH 2 —NH— C (= CH 2) -CHCHCOOH may the like. From the viewpoint of improving the adhesion of the carbon nanostructure film, the silsesquioxane is also referred to as octakis (tetramethylammonium) -T8-silsesquioxane (PSS hydrate-octakis (tetramethylammonium-substituted product). Is preferred.

The OctaTMA POSS has a negatively charged oxygen atom (O ) as a substituent bonded to a Si atom, and has a tetramethylammonium (TMA) ion as a counter ion. Octakis (tetramethylammonium) -T8-silsesquioxane is dissolved in an aqueous carbon nanostructure dispersion to form a silicon oxide such as SiO 2 , and the carbon nanostructure formed using the dispersion. It is considered that the adhesion of the body film is improved. In addition, by using TMA ions as counter ions as in the OctaTMA POSS, it is possible to achieve the electrical neutrality of the molecular additive without using metal ions that may deteriorate the properties of the carbon nanostructure film. Can be.

Although a centrifugation step may be performed, from the viewpoint of easily obtaining a fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion having a desired dispersibility, a dispersion mixture prepared by performing a dispersion mixture preparation step is used. Is preferred.

Before adding the fibrous carbon nanostructure to the solvent, pre-treatment should be performed to separate particulate impurities such as metals and amorphous carbon, and to reduce alkali metal ions, halogen ions, oligomers and polymers. May go.
Examples of the purification treatment for separating the metal include a purification treatment in which the fibrous carbon nanostructure is dispersed in an acid solution such as nitric acid and hydrochloric acid to dissolve metal impurities, a magnetic purification treatment, and the like. Among them, a purification treatment in which the fibrous carbon nanostructure is dispersed in an acid solution to dissolve metal impurities is preferable.
Examples of pretreatment for separating particulate impurities include high-speed centrifugation using an ultra-high-speed centrifuge; filter filtration using gravity filtration, cross-flow filtration, vacuum filtration, and the like; selection of non-fullerene carbon materials Oxidation treatment; a combination thereof; and the like.

[Coarse dispersion]
The coarse dispersion is not particularly limited, and can be obtained by mixing the above-mentioned fibrous carbon nanostructure and the above-mentioned solvent by a known method. The fibrous carbon nanostructure and the solvent can be mixed in any order. Further, in addition to the above-described components, additives generally used for producing a fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion may be further added to the crude dispersion.
It is preferable that a polymer such as a surfactant or a resin is not added to the coarse dispersion.

[Distributed processing]
The method of dispersion treatment when preparing the dispersion mixture by subjecting the above coarse dispersion to dispersion treatment is not particularly limited, and a known dispersion used for dispersion of a liquid containing fibrous carbon nanostructures is used. Processing methods can be used. Above all, as the dispersion treatment applied to the coarse dispersion, a dispersion treatment that can provide a cavitation effect or a crushing effect is preferable. By using a dispersion treatment that provides a cavitation effect or a crushing effect, the fibrous carbon nanostructure can be dispersed well, so that the dispersibility of the resulting fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion can be further increased. it can.

[[Distributed processing to obtain cavitation effect]]
Here, the dispersion treatment for obtaining the cavitation effect is a dispersion method using a shock wave generated by bursting a vacuum bubble generated in water when high energy is applied to a liquid. By using this dispersion method, the fibrous carbon nanostructure can be satisfactorily dispersed.

Specific examples of the dispersion treatment that can achieve the cavitation effect include a dispersion treatment by ultrasonic waves, a dispersion treatment by a jet mill, and a dispersion treatment by high shear stirring. One of these distributed processes may be performed, or a plurality of distributed processes may be performed in combination. More specifically, for example, an ultrasonic homogenizer, a jet mill, and a high-shear stirrer are suitably used. Any of these devices may be used, such as a conventionally known device.

When an ultrasonic homogenizer is used for dispersing the fibrous carbon nanostructure, the coarse dispersion may be irradiated with ultrasonic waves using the ultrasonic homogenizer. The irradiation time may be appropriately set depending on the amount of the fibrous carbon nanostructure, and is, for example, preferably 3 minutes or more, more preferably 30 minutes or more, and preferably 5 hours or less, and more preferably 2 hours or less. . Further, for example, the output is preferably from 20 W to 500 W, more preferably from 100 W to 500 W, and the temperature is preferably from 15 ° C. to 50 ° C.

In the case of using a jet mill, the number of treatments may be appropriately set depending on the amount of the fibrous carbon nanostructure or the like, and is, for example, preferably 2 or more, preferably 100 or less, and more preferably 50 or less. Further, for example, the pressure is preferably from 20 MPa to 250 MPa, and the temperature is preferably from 15 ° C. to 50 ° C.

Further, when a high-shear stirrer is used, stirring and shearing may be applied to the coarse dispersion by a high-shear stirrer. The faster the turning speed, the better. For example, the operation time (time during which the machine is rotating) is preferably from 3 minutes to 4 hours, the peripheral speed is preferably from 5 m / sec to 50 m / sec, and the temperature is preferably from 15 ° C to 50 ° C.

It is more preferable that the dispersion treatment for obtaining the above-described cavitation effect is performed at a temperature of 50 ° C. or less. This is because a change in concentration due to evaporation of the solvent is suppressed.

[[Dispersion processing to obtain crushing effect]]
In addition, the dispersion treatment in which the crushing effect is obtained is not only capable of uniformly dispersing the fibrous carbon nanostructures in the solvent, but also compared with the dispersion treatment in which the above-mentioned cavitation effect is obtained, the fiber by the shock wave when the bubbles disappear. This is advantageous in that damage to the carbon nanostructure can be suppressed.

In the dispersion treatment in which this disintegration effect is obtained, a shear force is applied to the coarse dispersion to disintegrate and disperse the aggregates of the fibrous carbon nanostructures. Accordingly, by cooling the coarse dispersion, the fibrous carbon nanostructure can be uniformly dispersed in the solvent while suppressing generation of bubbles.
When a back pressure is applied to the coarse dispersion, the back pressure applied to the coarse dispersion may be reduced to the atmospheric pressure at a stretch, but is preferably reduced in multiple stages.

Here, in order to further disperse the fibrous carbon nanostructure by applying a shearing force to the coarse dispersion, for example, a dispersion system having a disperser having the following structure may be used.
That is, from the inflow side to the outflow side of the coarse dispersion, the disperser includes a disperser orifice having an inner diameter of d1, a dispersion space having an inner diameter of d2, and a terminal end having an inner diameter of d3 (where d2>d3>). d1)).
In this disperser, the incoming high-pressure (for example, 10 to 400 MPa, preferably 50 to 250 MPa) coarse dispersion liquid passes through the orifice of the disperser to become a high-velocity fluid with a decrease in pressure. Flows into the dispersion space. Thereafter, the high-velocity coarse dispersion liquid flowing into the dispersion space flows at high speed in the dispersion space, and receives a shearing force at that time. As a result, the flow rate of the coarse dispersion is reduced, and the fibrous carbon nanostructure is well dispersed. Then, a fluid having a pressure (back pressure) lower than the pressure of the inflowing coarse dispersion liquid flows out from the terminal end as a liquid in which the fibrous carbon nanostructures are dispersed.

The back pressure of the coarse dispersion can be applied to the coarse dispersion by applying a load to the flow of the coarse dispersion. For example, by providing a multi-stage pressure reducer downstream of the disperser, The desired back pressure can be applied to the dispersion.
Then, by reducing the back pressure of the coarse dispersion in multiple stages by a multistage pressure reducer, it is possible to suppress the generation of bubbles in the dispersion mixture when the dispersion mixture is finally released to the atmospheric pressure.

The disperser may include a heat exchanger for cooling the coarse dispersion and a cooling liquid supply mechanism. This is because the generation of bubbles in the coarse dispersion can be further suppressed by cooling the coarse dispersion that has been heated to a high temperature by the application of a shearing force in the disperser.
In addition, instead of disposing the heat exchanger or the like, by pre-cooling the crude dispersion liquid, it is possible to suppress the generation of bubbles in the liquid containing the fibrous carbon nanostructure.

As described above, in the dispersion treatment in which this crushing effect is obtained, since the occurrence of cavitation can be suppressed, damage to the fibrous carbon nanostructure caused by cavitation, which is sometimes concerned, particularly when bubbles disappear. Damage to the fibrous carbon nanostructure caused by the shock wave can be suppressed. In addition, it is possible to uniformly and efficiently disperse the fibrous carbon nanostructure by suppressing attachment of air bubbles to the fibrous carbon nanostructure and energy loss due to generation of air bubbles.

As a distributed system having the above-described configuration, for example, there is a product name “BERYU SYSTEM PRO” (manufactured by Miyu Co., Ltd.). The dispersing process that can obtain the crushing effect can be performed by using such a dispersing system and appropriately controlling the dispersing conditions.

<Centrifugation step>
In the centrifugation step, a dispersion mixture containing a plurality of fibrous carbon nanostructures and a solvent can be centrifuged to precipitate some of the plurality of fibrous carbon nanostructures. Then, in the centrifugation step, the fibrous carbon nanostructure having high cohesiveness precipitates, and the fibrous carbon nanostructure excellent in dispersibility remains in the supernatant.

The centrifugation of the dispersion mixture is not particularly limited, and can be performed using a known centrifuge.
Among them, from the viewpoint of appropriately leaving the fibrous carbon nanostructures having excellent dispersibility in the obtained supernatant liquid and obtaining a fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion having excellent dispersibility, when the dispersion mixture is centrifuged. Is preferably 2,000 G or more, more preferably 5,000 G or more, preferably 20,000 G or less, and more preferably 15,000 G or less.
Further, from the viewpoint of appropriately leaving the fibrous carbon nanostructures having excellent dispersibility in the obtained supernatant and obtaining a fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion having excellent dispersibility, the dispersion mixture is subjected to centrifugation.
<Preparation process>
In the fractionation step, the supernatant can be fractionated from the dispersion mixture centrifuged in the centrifugation step. The supernatant can be collected by, for example, collecting the supernatant by leaving the precipitate layer by decantation, pipetting, or the like. Specifically, for example, the supernatant liquid existing in a portion from the liquid surface of the dispersion mixed liquid after centrifugation to a depth of 5/6 may be collected.

[Supernatant]
Here, the supernatant liquid fractionated from the dispersion mixed liquid after centrifugation contains the fibrous carbon nanostructures that did not precipitate by centrifugation. Then, the supernatant can be used for preparing the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion of the present embodiment.

<Molecular additive addition step>
The addition of the molecular additive can be performed at any timing without any particular limitation. For example, a molecular additive can be added to the supernatant obtained through the above steps.
The molecular additive to be added to the dispersion may be in any form, but in one embodiment, a solution in which the molecular additive is dissolved in a suitable solvent such as water is added to the dispersion. Can be. In that case, it is preferable to filter to remove particulate impurities before adding the solution in which the molecular additive is dissolved to the dispersion. For the filtration, for example, a filter having a pore size of 0.1 μm can be used. Further, prior to the filtration, it is preferable that a solution in which the molecular additive is dissolved is subjected to an ion exchange treatment to remove free metal ions contained as impurities.

The calcination is preferably performed at 100 to 300 ° C., and is preferably performed in air. The removal of the solvent can be performed only by baking, but can be further performed after drying or filtration.

In the production of the carbon nanostructure film, it is not necessary to completely remove the solvent in the dispersion, and the fibrous carbon nanostructure remaining after the removal of the solvent is a film-like aggregate (carbon nanostructure film). As long as it can be handled as ()), there is no problem even if some solvent remains.

(Nitric acid treatment step)
1 g of the obtained single-walled carbon nanotube (SWNT) was mixed with a mixed solution of 125 mL of 15 M nitric acid and 125 mL of ultrapure water. After stirring the obtained mixture for 8 hours, the mixture was refluxed at 125 ° C. for 12 hours, and 250 mL of the mixture was diluted with 1.75 L of 7-fold ultrapure water.
The pH was adjusted to 1.5 ± 0.1 by dropwise addition of 35% aqueous ammonia to the mixture.

(Ultrasonic treatment step)
Using an ultrasonic cleaning device (manufactured by Honda Electronics, product name "WTC-1200-40"), ultrasonic treatment was performed for 60 minutes in an ultrasonic water bath cooled to 4 to 5 ° C.
After the ultrasonic irradiation, cross-flow filtration was performed using a special 0.5-micron ceramic membrane. The solution was passed through a ceramic membrane until the pH reached 4.0. The liquid that passed through the ceramic membrane was discarded as a permeate, and the liquid that did not pass through the holes of the filter was collected as a retentate. The pH of the retentate was readjusted to 7.1 by adding 0.1% aqueous ammonia to the retentate. Then, it was ultrasonically treated again in an ultrasonic water bath at 4 to 5 ° C. for 2 hours and immersed for another 2 hours.

(Ultra-centrifugation step)
Ultracentrifugation was performed to remove large particles in the liquid. First, centrifugation was performed at 25,000 rpm for 2 hours using an ultracentrifuge (product name “CP-80NX” manufactured by Hitachi Koki). The upper supernatant was transferred to another vial and the lower precipitate was discarded. Next, the obtained supernatant was centrifuged at 25,000 rpm for 75 minutes to obtain a further supernatant.

(Molecular additive addition step)
To the obtained supernatant, octakis (tetramethylammonium) -T8-silsesquioxane (manufactured by Aldrich) as a molecular additive was added, and five fibrous carbon nano particles having different molecular additive concentrations in the dispersion were added. A structure dispersion liquid was prepared.

(Coating and baking process)
The obtained carbon nanostructure film dispersion was applied on a substrate and fired to form a carbon nanostructure film. A silicon wafer was used as the substrate. The application was performed by spin coating, and the firing was performed in air at a temperature of 250 ° C. for 10 minutes. The spin coating was performed in the following procedure.
The obtained coating solution was spread on a silicon dioxide substrate having a diameter of 100 mm by 4 to 6 mL, thereby spin-coating the substrate. In the spin coating, the substrate was first rotated at 500 rpm for 1 second, then at 60 rpm for 180 seconds, then at 2,000 rpm for 20 seconds to dry, and finally at 60 rpm for 20 seconds.

[Evaluation]
(1) Shape of t-plot The shape of the t-plot of the fibrous carbon nanostructure was confirmed by the following method. First, 30 mL of the fibrous carbon nanostructure dispersion liquid (supernatant liquid) before adding the molecular additive was dried at a temperature of 120 ° C. for 10 minutes to volatilize water. Then, 20 mg of the dried fibrous carbon nanostructure is sufficiently dried by heat treatment at 110 ° C. for 5 hours or more, and a fully automatic specific surface area measuring device (manufactured by Mountech Co., Ltd., product name “Macsorb (registered trademark) HM model-) is used. 1210 ") in a dedicated cell. Thereafter, the cell was provided at a predetermined position of the measuring device, and the BET specific surface area was measured by an automatic operation. The measurement principle of this apparatus is based on the method of preparing an adsorption isotherm of liquid nitrogen at 77 K and measuring the specific surface area from this adsorption isotherm by a BET (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller) method.
In the adsorption isotherm obtained in the above-mentioned measurement of the BET specific surface area, a t-plot was created by converting the relative pressure into the average thickness t (nm) of the nitrogen gas adsorption layer. From the created t-plot, the shape of the t-plot was observed, and the position of the inflection point of the t-plot, the total specific surface area (m 2 / g), and the internal specific surface area (m 2 / g) were calculated. As a result, t = 0.6 nm and S2 / S1 = 0.24 (S1 = 1050 m 2 / g, S = 250 m 2 / g).
The measurement principle of the t-plot follows the t-plot method by de Boer et al.
