Description

The present invention relates to a handrail belt cleaning device for automatically cleaning a handrail belt provided on a passenger conveyor such as an escalator or a moving sidewalk.

Passenger conveyors such as escalators and moving walkways are provided with handrail belts that move infinitely in synchronization with the steps on which passengers ride, and passengers riding on steps attach their hands to the handrail belts to support their bodies. Yes.
The handrail belt is formed endlessly with an elastic material such as rubber, and is attached to the edge of the balustrade on both sides of the step so as to be able to run, and is driven so as to move infinitely along the balustrade by a driving device. The driving device for the handrail belt includes a driving roller. The driving roller is pressed against the back surface of the handrail belt, the rotational force of the driving roller is transmitted to the handrail belt by the friction force, and the handrail belt travels in the longitudinal direction.
By the way, the handrail belt gradually gets dirty with time. For this reason, as seen in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2007-314298, a means is adopted in which a cleaning tool is brought into contact with the surface of the handrail belt and the surface of the handrail belt is automatically cleaned with the cleaning tool.
JP2007-314298A

The purpose of cleaning the surface of the handrail belt is to keep the surface of the handrail belt clean and clean so that passengers do not feel uncomfortable because the surface of the handrail belt is the part that the passengers on the step touch directly with their hands Because.

However, the handrail belt gradually gets dirty on the back. Many handrail belts are lined with a reinforcing canvas material (zock material) on the back, which makes them more prone to dirt than a smooth surface.

The driving roller that drives the handrail belt is pressed against the back surface of the handrail belt, and the handrail belt is driven by the frictional force generated by the pressure contact. Therefore, when the back surface of the handrail belt becomes dirty, the friction force is reduced and the predetermined speed is reached. As a result, the driving ability for running the handrail belt is reduced.
For this reason, conventionally, at the time of periodic inspection of the escalator, the operation of the escalator is stopped, the handrail belt is removed from the balustrade, and the back surface of the handrail belt is manually cleaned with the back side facing up.
However, such a method requires a lot of labor and time for work, is inefficient and costly.
The present invention has been made paying attention to such points, and the object of the present invention is to automatically and efficiently clean the back surface of the handrail belt so that the driving ability of the handrail belt is always appropriate without depending on human hands. It is in providing the handrail belt cleaning apparatus of the passenger conveyor which can be maintained in this.

In order to achieve such an object, the invention of claim 1 is a passenger conveyor including a handrail belt that moves infinitely in circulation, and a friction roller that rotates in accordance with the movement of the handrail belt and a back surface of the handrail belt. And a cleaning roller that rubs the back surface of the handrail belt to remove dirt on the back surface by rotating with a driving force generated by the rotation of the friction roller, and a base attached to a frame member of the truss of the passenger conveyor , The base has a pivot shaft that rotatably supports the friction roller and a support shaft that rotatably supports the cleaning roller. The friction roller is attached to the surface side of the handrail belt together with the pivot shaft, and the cleaning roller is A drive shaft that is disposed on the back side of the handrail belt together with a support shaft, and that rotates integrally with the friction roller on the pivot shaft. The support shaft is provided with driven pulleys that rotate integrally with the cleaning roller, and a drive belt that transmits the rotational power of the friction roller to the cleaning roller is stretched between the pulleys. It is characterized in that it can be rotated around the pivot, and the contact pressure between the circumferential surface of the cleaning roller and the back surface of the handrail belt can be adjusted by the rotation operation .

The invention of claim 2 is characterized in that the cleaning roller rotates in a direction opposite to the moving direction of the handrail belt.

The invention of claim 3 is characterized in that the cleaning roller is a brush-type roller having a large number of brush hairs on the peripheral surface.

According to the present invention, the back surface of the handrail belt can be automatically and efficiently cleaned, and the driving ability of the handrail belt can always be kept appropriate without depending on human hands.

The driving roller 15 is pressed against the C-shaped inner surface of the handrail belt 14, and a chain 16 is wound between the driving roller 15 and the driving wheel 3, and the driving roller 15 is linked with the driving wheel 3. The handrail belt 14 rotates indefinitely in synchronization with each step 9 by the rotation of the driving roller 15.
A cleaning device 20 for cleaning the handrail belt 14 is provided on the inside of the lower floor side end portion of the deck 12, for example. 2 is a perspective view of the entire cleaning device 20, FIG. 3 is a sectional view of the main part of the cleaning device 20, and FIG. 4 is a front view of the cleaning device 20.

As shown in FIG. 3, the cleaning device 20 includes a pivot 22, and the pivot 22 is attached and fixed to a part of the frame material 1 a of the truss 1. The pivot 22 passes under the handrail belt 14 and extends in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the handrail belt 14.
As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, a strip-shaped base 26 is attached to the base of the pivot 22 so as to face the frame material 1 a, and the pivot 22 is connected to the end of the base 26 opposite to the pivot 22. A support shaft 27 is attached in parallel. The pivot shaft 22 is disposed on the front surface side of the handrail belt 14, the support shaft 27 is disposed on the back surface side of the handrail belt 14, and the pivot shaft 22 and the support shaft 27 are disposed opposite to each other across the handrail belt 14. Has been.
A drive pulley 29 is rotatably mounted on the base portion of the pivot shaft 22 and a friction roller 30 is rotatably mounted on the tip portion thereof. The drive pulley 29 and the friction roller 30 are connected to each other via a sleeve 31 that is rotatably fitted to the pivot shaft 22. Are integrally connected, and rotate integrally around the pivot 22.
The support shaft 27 has a driven pulley 33 at the base and a cleaning roller 34 rotatably mounted at the tip thereof. The driven pulley 33 and the cleaning roller 34 are rotatably fitted to the support shaft 27. And are integrally connected to each other about the support shaft 27.
An endless drive belt 37 is stretched between the drive pulley 29 and the driven pulley 33, and the rotational power of the drive pulley 29 is transmitted to the driven pulley 33 via the drive belt 37, and is integrated with the driven pulley 33. Accordingly, the cleaning roller 34 rotates. The drive belt 37 is, for example, a toothed belt having concave and convex teeth on the inner peripheral surface that contacts the drive pulley 29 and the driven pulley 33.

The friction roller 30 is made of a material having a large friction coefficient, for example, rubber, and is pressed against the surface of the handrail belt 14 at a predetermined pressure. The cleaning roller 34 is a brush type roller having a large number of brush bristles 34a made of nylon, for example, on its peripheral surface, and is pressed against the back surface of the handrail belt 14 with a predetermined pressure. The friction roller 30 and the cleaning roller 34 are disposed so as to face each other with the handrail belt 14 interposed therebetween.

The base 26 to which the support shaft 27 is attached can be rotated around the pivot shaft 22, and the position of the cleaning roller 34 is changed by the rotation of the base 26 and its peripheral surface and the back surface of the handrail belt 14. It is possible to adjust the contact pressure. That is, the base 26 is formed with an arc-shaped long hole 39 centered on the pivot 22, and a bolt 40 is screwed into the frame material 1 a through the long hole 39, and the base 26 is fixed to the frame material by tightening the bolt 40. It is fixed to 1a. Then, by loosening the bolt 40 and rotating the base 26 around the pivot shaft 22, the contact pressure between the peripheral surface of the cleaning roller 34 and the back surface of the handrail belt 14 can be adjusted.
As shown in FIG. 2, the base 26 is provided with a pair of dust trays 43 and 44 located on both sides of the cleaning roller 34. These dust trays 43 and 44 are inserted inside the handrail belt 14 and supported by the frame material 1 a so as to be close to the contact portion between the cleaning roller 34 and the handrail belt 14.
Next, the operation will be described.

During the ascending operation of the escalator, each step 9 and the handrail belt 14 move in the direction of arrow A shown in FIGS. When the handrail belt 14 moves in the A direction, the friction roller 30 rotates in the A direction by the frictional force with the handrail belt 14, and the drive pulley 29 rotates in the A direction integrally with the friction roller 30. The driven pulley 33 and the cleaning roller 34 are integrally rotated in the A direction by the rotation of the driving pulley 29.

Due to the rotation of the cleaning roller 34, the back surface of the handrail belt 14 is rubbed by the brush bristles 34a, and the dirt on the back surface is removed. At this time, the handrail belt 14 moves in the A direction, and the cleaning roller 34 rotates in the A direction. However, the movement in the A direction and the rotation in the A direction are in a reverse relationship facing each other. The back surface of the handrail belt 14 is effectively rubbed by the brush bristles 34a, and the back surface is efficiently cleaned and cleaned cleanly. At this time, the dirt is accommodated in the garbage tray 44.

On the other hand, during the descending operation of the escalator, each step 9 and the handrail belt 14 move in the arrow B direction. Then, as the handrail belt 14 moves in the B direction, the friction roller 30 rotates in the B direction by the frictional force with the handrail belt 14, and the drive pulley 29 rotates in the B direction integrally with the friction roller 30. The driven pulley 33 and the cleaning roller 34 are integrally rotated in the direction B by the rotation of the driving pulley 29, and the back surface of the handrail belt 14 is cleaned by the rotation of the cleaning roller 34.

Even at this time, the movement of the handrail belt 14 in the B direction and the rotation of the cleaning roller 34 in the B direction are in opposite directions to each other, and therefore the back surface of the handrail belt 14 is moved by the brush bristles 34a of the cleaning roller 34. It is effectively rubbed and the backside is efficiently cleaned and cleaned cleanly. At this time, dirt waste is accommodated in the garbage tray 43.
When dirt scraps are collected in the dust trays 43, 44 by cleaning the handrail belt 14, the operation of the escalator is stopped, and the dirt scraps are removed from the dust trays 43, 44 and discarded.

As described above, the back surface of the handrail belt 14 is automatically and efficiently cleaned by the cleaning roller 34 that rotates in accordance with the movement of the handrail belt 14, and thus the driving roller 15 and the handrail belt 14 for driving the handrail belt 14. Therefore, the handrail belt 14 can always travel accurately at a predetermined speed with the driving roller 15.
When the contact pressure between the cleaning roller 34 and the back surface of the handrail belt 14 decreases due to wear of the brush bristles 34a on the peripheral surface of the cleaning roller 34, the bolt 40 is loosened, and the base 26 is centered on the pivot shaft 22. Then, the peripheral surface of the cleaning roller 34 is pressed against the back surface of the handrail belt 14 to adjust the contact pressure. And after adjusting to an appropriate contact pressure, the said volt | bolt 40 is tightened and the base 26 is fixed to the frame material 1a. Thereby, the contact pressure between the peripheral surface of the cleaning roller 34 and the back surface of the handrail belt 14 can be maintained at an appropriate pressure.
In addition, this invention is not only applied to the escalator installed diagonally across the upper and lower floors of the building, but each step moves on the same plane and conveys passengers who ride on that step in one direction Needless to say, the present invention can also be applied to passenger conveyors such as moving walkways.
