R2−Ca + 2HCl → 2R−H + CaCl2
R−H + NaOH → R−Na + H2O
Ca(HCO3)2 + 2R−H → R2−Ca + 2H2CO3
CaCl2 + 2R−Na → R2−Ca + 2NaCl

[0002]
[Prior art]
As a method for producing pure water or ultrapure water by treating raw water, a pure water production method is known in which water is passed through an alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane after the pH is adjusted to 10 or more by adding an alkali. In such a pure water production method, an ion exchange resin device is often provided in the upstream or downstream of the reverse osmosis membrane device. Fig.1 (a) is an example of the process flow diagram of a pure water manufacturing method. In this process, in order to prevent a scale component such as calcium from being deposited on the reverse osmosis membrane device to cause membrane clogging and reduce the amount of water produced, a weakly acidic ion exchange resin tower 1 is provided in the previous stage of the reverse osmosis membrane device. After removing calcium from the raw water in advance, an alkali is added and water is passed through the alkali-resistant reverse
In a pure water production method using such an alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device, it is necessary to add a large amount of alkali in order to increase the pH of the water supplied to the reverse osmosis membrane device. Moreover, since the concentrated water of a reverse osmosis membrane apparatus is discharged | emitted in the state of high pH containing an alkali at high concentration, there exists a problem that the load to wastewater treatment will become large. Therefore, there has been a demand for a pure water production method that can effectively use the concentrated water of the reverse osmosis membrane device to realize resource saving and process rationalization.

It is a thing.
[0004]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
As a result of intensive studies to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present inventor, in a pure water production method having a step of passing raw water through an alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device under alkaline conditions of pH 9.2 or higher, By reusing the concentrated water discharged from the alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device as an alkaline agent, it was found that resource saving and process rationalization can be realized at the same time, and the present invention has been completed based on this finding.

[0005]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The pure water production method of the present invention is a pure water production method having a step of passing water through an alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device under alkaline conditions of pH 9.2 or higher, and concentrated water discharged from the alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device. Is reused as an alkaline agent.
FIG. 2A is a process flow diagram of one embodiment of the method of the present invention. The raw water is supplied to the alkali-resistant reverse
The alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane used in the method of the present invention is preferably one that does not deteriorate even when it comes into contact with water having a pH of 10 or more for a long time. In this case, since the pH of the concentrated water is higher than the pH of the supplied alkaline water, it is preferable to select an alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane in consideration of the pH of the concentrated water. Examples of such an alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane include FILMTEC type FT30, which is marketed as having long-term durability up to pH 11, and Nitto Denko Corporation, which is marketed as having long-term durability up to pH 10. Examples include ES20, ES10, NTR759, and Toray Industries, Inc. SU700.
[0006]
In the method of the present invention, there is no particular limitation on the reuse of the concentrated water discharged from the alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device as an alkaline agent, for example, a pH adjuster in wastewater treatment, an alkaline agent in reverse osmosis membrane cleaning. It can be used as a regenerant for ion exchange equipment. If the reverse osmosis membrane is continuously used, the membrane is gradually contaminated and the amount of permeated water decreases, so it is necessary to periodically clean the reverse osmosis membrane. For washing the reverse osmosis membrane, an alkali agent or an acid is usually used, but concentrated water can be used as the alkali agent. In addition, ultrapure water is used as rinse water in semiconductor manufacturing processes, etc., but when wastewater discharged from the cleaning process is collected and used as raw water for ultrapure water production, it is concentrated if the wastewater is acidic. Water can be used as a pH adjuster. Furthermore, in the ion exchange step, the acidic regeneration wastewater generated when the cation exchange resin is regenerated with an acid can be neutralized using concentrated water.
When reusing concentrated water as an alkaline agent, the pH can be increased by adding alkali to the concentrated water depending on the application, or the concentrated water can be diluted with water to lower the pH. it can. For example, when concentrated water is used as a regenerant for ion exchange equipment, the pH can be increased by further adding alkali to the alkali agent tank.
[0007]
FIG. 2B is a process flow diagram of another embodiment of the method of the present invention. In this embodiment, a strongly basic ion exchange resin tower 6 is provided in the preceding stage of the alkali-resistant reverse
FIG. 2 (c) is a process flow diagram of another embodiment of the method of the present invention. In this embodiment, raw water is passed through the weakly acidic ion exchange resin tower 7 to remove scale components such as calcium ions and magnesium ions, and further passed through a decarboxylation device 8 to remove carbonate ions as scale components. Remove as carbon. By removing calcium and performing decarboxylation, it is possible to prevent a calcium carbonate scale that tends to precipitate particularly at high pH. Further, by removing carbonic acid in water, the amount of alkali added necessary for pH adjustment before passing through the alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device can be reduced. The reason why the required amount of alkali added in the presence of carbonic acid is considered to be because the buffering action of pH increases as the total carbonic acid concentration in water increases. The amount of alkali leak from the reverse osmosis membrane can be reduced by reducing the amount of alkali added for pH adjustment by decarboxylation. The decarboxylated water is supplied to the alkali-resistant reverse
[0008]
In this embodiment, it is preferable that the weak acid ion exchange resin tower is regenerated using an acid such as hydrochloric acid, and then an alkaline agent is passed through to make a part of the weak acid ion exchange resin Na-type. The weak acid ion exchange resin is regenerated with hydrochloric acid, and part of it is made Na type with sodium hydroxide, so that both H type resin and Na type resin exist in the weak acid ion exchange resin tower. It becomes.
R 2 -Ca + 2HCl → 2R- H +
R-H + NaOH → R-Na + H 2 O
By the presence of both H-type resin and Na-type resin, calcium can be removed as shown in the following formula regardless of the form of calcium ions in the raw water.
Ca (HCO 3 ) 2 + 2R−H → R 2 −Ca + 2H 2 CO 3
CaCl 2 + 2R-Na → R 2 -Ca + 2NaCl
In this embodiment, the acid is supplied from the acid tank 9 to the weakly acidic ion exchange resin tower 7 by a pump and regenerated with acid, and then discharged from the alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device stored in the
[0009]
【Example】
Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in more detail with reference to examples, but the present invention is not limited to these examples.
Example 1
Pure water was produced by the process shown in FIG.
Atsugi city water was passed through a tower packed with 30 liters of activated carbon [Kuraray Co., Ltd., Kuraray Coal KW10 / 32] at 600 liters / hr, and water from which residual chlorine was removed was used as raw water. The calcium concentration in the raw water was 24 mg / liter.
The weakly acidic ion exchange resin tower 7 is filled with 30 liters of weakly acidic ion exchange resin [Bayer, Lewatit CNP80], and the decarboxylation device 8 has a degassing membrane [Dainippon Ink Industries, Ltd., SEPAREL EF-040P]. (4 inches)] was attached to the alkali-resistant reverse
The concentrated water of the alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device was stored in an alkaline agent tank. Although no sodium hydroxide was added to the alkali agent tank, the pH of the solution in the alkali agent tank was 10.8 to 11.2. The weakly acidic ion exchange resin tower was regenerated with hydrochloric acid every 6 days, and after passing the liquid in the alkaline agent tank at 600 liter / hr for 30 minutes, the raw water flow was started again.
Under these conditions, pure water was continuously produced for 30 days. After 30 days, the calcium concentration in the weakly acidic ion-exchange resin tower effluent water was 0.05 mg / liter or less. Further, the permeated water of the alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device was 540 liter / hr, which was not changed from the beginning of production.
Comparative Example 1
The weakly acidic ion exchange resin tower was regenerated using hydrochloric acid, but pure water was continuously produced for 30 days in the same manner as in Example 1 except that the subsequent passage of the alkaline agent was not performed. . After 30 days, the calcium concentration in the weakly acidic ion exchange resin tower effluent water was 0.3 mg / liter. Further, the permeated water of the alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device was 430 liter / hr, which was about 20% lower than that at the beginning of production.
The results of Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 are shown in Table 1.
[0010]
[Table 1]
[0011]
In Example 1 using the method of the present invention, the calcium concentration of the weakly acidic ion exchange resin tower effluent is low, so that calcium scale does not adhere to the reverse osmosis membrane, so the permeated water amount decreases even after 30 days. Was not seen. On the other hand, in Comparative Example 1 in which the liquid in the alkaline agent tank is not passed through the weak acid ion exchange resin tower, the calcium concentration in the reverse osmosis membrane is generated because the calcium concentration of the weak acid ion exchange resin tower effluent is high. Therefore, it can be determined that the amount of permeated water has decreased.
In Example 1, since it operates only using the concentrated water of a reverse osmosis membrane apparatus, without adding sodium hydroxide to an alkaline agent tank, an extra chemical | medical agent is used by reusing an alkaline agent. Therefore, the performance of the alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device can be maintained.
[0012]
【The invention's effect】
According to the method of the present invention, the concentrated water discharged from the alkali-resistant reverse osmosis membrane device can be reused as an alkaline agent by utilizing the high pH.
