2. Description of the Related Art A vehicle, such as a snow bike, is known in which a steering ski is pivotally mounted on a lower portion of a front fork at a front portion of a vehicle body and is driven by an endless track device at a rear portion of the vehicle body. 4613006). The steering skis of such vehicles are generally made of metal.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] In the case of the above-mentioned steering ski, since the coefficient of static friction of the metal against the snow surface is relatively large, the ski contacts the snow contact surface on the back side (hereinafter referred to as a snow contact surface). Snow, which eventually freezes, may increase running resistance.

In addition, the width of the steered ski is usually relatively narrow, but in such a case, the surface pressure on the snow contact surface becomes high, causing sinking on deep snow and passing through the snow. A phenomenon (stack) may occur. Therefore, it is also desired to improve the stacking resistance and improve the running performance on deep snow.

[Means for Solving the Problems] In order to solve the above problems, the invention of claim 1 overlaps a plastic ski cover on at least the back side of the steering ski, and the ski cover is viewed in plan. The main sliding part has a main sliding part which is substantially parallel to the left and right sides and extends in the front-rear direction. The width of the main sliding part is wider than the width corresponding to the steering ski, and the steering ski protrudes upward on the left and right sides of the main sliding part. The right and left sides of the steering ski are provided with rising portions that overlap from the outside, and are detachably attached to the left and right sides of the steered ski at the rising portions.

[Operation of the Invention] Since the ski cover attached to the snow contact surface of the steered ski is made of plastic, the coefficient of static friction against snow is smaller than that of metal. For this reason, it is difficult to snow the ski cover. As a result, it is easy to prevent an increase in running resistance due to freezing of snow.

In addition, there is a rising part that protrudes upward on the left and right sides of the main sliding part of the ski cover, and this rising part is attached to the left and right sides of the steering ski from outside and attached detachably on the side, so it is attached when sliding This makes it harder for the part to come into contact with snow, and reduces snow surface resistance, which is resistance applied from the snow surface side during traveling.

Furthermore, since the width of the main sliding portion in the plan view is wider than the corresponding portion of the steering ski, the left and right sides of the plastic ski cover, which is a plastic member, can easily come into contact with the snow surface even when turning, so that the snow when turning can be easily obtained. Reduces sheet resistance.

In addition, if the left and right sides of the ski cover are provided with wide portions extending laterally longer than the left and right sides of the steered ski, the width of the ski cover will be wider than that of the steered skis. Therefore, since the surface pressure on the snow contact surface is reduced, it is difficult to sink even on deep snow, and the stacking resistance is improved. In addition, since the wide portion comes into contact with the snow surface during turning, the snow surface resistance during the turning is further reduced.

In the present embodiment, since the ski cover 10 is made of plastic having a small static friction coefficient, as in the case where the metal steering ski 2 is used as it is, snow accretion on the snow contact surface and icing are reduced, An increase in running resistance due to snowfall or the like can be prevented. In addition, since the ski cover 10 is detachable, it can be adjusted to minimize the coefficient of static friction by changing the material according to the snow quality, and if the ski cover 10 is damaged, only the ski cover 10 It is enough to replace In addition, since the ski cover 10 is fastened to the steering ski 2 together with the side edge 12 and the center runner 16, the mounting member dedicated to the ski cover 10 is only the mounting screw 11, and the number of parts and the number of mounting steps can be reduced.

As shown in FIG. 11, the front end of the ski cover 10 forms an overhang portion 32 that curves from the left and right to the center to cover the tip of the steering ski 2 in a bag shape. The divided flange portions 33 are joined from both sides of the protector 24 and fastened by bolts 34 and nuts 35. It is to be noted that the overhang portion 15 is formed at the rear end of the ski cover 10 and the rear end of the steering ski 2 is housed in the overhang 15 as in the previous embodiment. That is, as shown in FIG. 10, the ski cover 10 can be easily attached to and detached from the steering ski 2 only by coupling two bolts and nuts (14a, 14b).

According to the first aspect of the present invention, since the plastic ski cover is detachably attached to the snow contact side of the steering ski, the metal steering ski can be directly attached to the snow surface. The coefficient of static friction can be reduced as compared with the case of contact. Therefore, it is easy to prevent snow on the snow contact surface of the ski cover and icing, and it is possible to suppress an increase in running resistance. Moreover, by changing the material of the ski cover, it is possible to select an optimum one according to the snow quality. Furthermore, when the ski cover is damaged, it is sufficient to replace only the ski cover, so that the economy is improved.
