Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a vehicle steering system including a first actuator and a second actuator that apply a driving force to a steering mechanism for steering. Such a vehicle steering device is configured to drive a steering mechanism having no mechanical connection to the operating member based on an operation of an operating member such as a steering wheel to steer a steered wheel (a so-called steering wheel). An electric power that mechanically connects the operating member and the steering mechanism, and provides a steering assisting force for assisting the steering force of the operating member to the steering mechanism. It may have a configuration as a steering device.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Eliminates the mechanical coupling between the steering wheel and the steering mechanism for turning the steering wheel, detects the operation direction and the operation amount of the steering wheel, and, based on the detection result, turns the steering mechanism with an electric motor or the like. 2. Description of the Related Art There has been proposed a vehicle steering system (so-called steer-by-wire system) that applies a driving force from an actuator.
[0003]
By adopting such a configuration, it is possible to freely change the ratio (gear ratio) between the amount of rotation of the steering wheel and the amount of steering of the steered wheels according to the running condition of the vehicle, and the like. The performance can be improved. In addition, the above-described configuration also has an advantage that it is possible to prevent the steering wheel from being pushed up at the time of a collision, and that there is an advantage that the degree of freedom in the arrangement position of the steering wheel is increased.
In such a steer-by-wire system, the first and second electric motors for applying a driving force to the steered shaft coupled to the steered wheels are provided to reduce the size of each electric motor. It has been proposed that, even when a failure occurs in one of the electric motors, the steering mechanism can be driven by the driving force of the other electric motor (for example, see
[0004]
The first and second electric motors are driven and controlled by, for example, first and second electronic control units, respectively. Then, for example, in a normal state, the first electric motor drives the first electric motor, and the driving force of the first electric motor is transmitted to the steered shaft, and the second electric motor is stopped. You. If a failure occurs in the first electronic control unit or the first electric motor and the first electric motor cannot be driven normally, the second electric control unit causes the second electric control unit to operate. The motor is drive-controlled, and the driving force from the second electric motor is transmitted to the steered shaft.
[0005]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-10-218000
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, in a normal time when neither the first electronic control unit nor the first electric motor has a failure, the second electric motor is driven by a reverse input from the steered shaft. Therefore, the second electric motor becomes a load due to the back electromotive force accompanying the rotation of the second electric motor and the inertia of the second electric motor. Therefore, even if the first electric motor is driven and controlled, an output as designed cannot be obtained, and good steering performance cannot be realized.
[0007]
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is an object of the present invention to provide a steering apparatus for a vehicle that realizes an improvement in steering performance by preventing a load on a second actuator when driven by a first actuator.
[0008]
Means for Solving the Problems and Effects of the Invention
According to the first aspect of the present invention, a first actuator (51M) for applying a steering driving force to a steering mechanism (10) and a first actuator (51M) for applying a steering driving force to the steering mechanism (10). A second actuator (51S) capable of driving the first actuator, a first control means (U1) for controlling the driving of the first actuator, and the first control means for applying a driving force for steering to the steering mechanism. A second control means (U2) for controlling the driving of the second actuator so that the second actuator does not become a load when the driving of the first actuator is controlled. is there. It should be noted that the alphanumeric characters in parentheses indicate corresponding components and the like in embodiments described later. Hereinafter, the same applies in this section.
[0009]
According to the above configuration, when the first actuator is driven and controlled by the first control means to apply a driving force for steering to the steering mechanism, the second actuator is driven by the second control means so as not to become a load. Controlled. As a result, it becomes possible to apply the designed driving force to the steering mechanism, and as a result, the steering performance is improved.
The second control means is configured to provide the second actuator with a steering force to the steering mechanism when the first control means or the first actuator fails. It may be one that drives and controls an actuator.
[0010]
With this configuration, even if a situation occurs in which the driving force from the first actuator cannot be applied to the steering mechanism due to the failure of the first control means or the first actuator, the driving force from the second actuator is transmitted to the steering mechanism. By providing the steering wheel, steering characteristics can be secured.
Further, the second control means does not substantially apply a driving force for steering to the steering mechanism when the first control means and the first actuator have not failed, and It is preferable that the second actuator be driven and controlled so that the second actuator does not become a load. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent the second actuator from becoming a load while suppressing energy consumption in the second actuator.
