Abstract
Description
【0001】

TECHNICAL FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a crankshaft of an engine, and more particularly to a crank journal supported on a crankcase, a crank web extending radially outward from an end of the crank journal, and a crank web parallel to the crank journal from a tip end of the crank web. The present invention relates to an improvement in a crankshaft having a crankpin extending in a direction parallel to the center line of the crankshaft.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, in such a crankshaft, for example, as disclosed in Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. 54-44838, a hole for reducing the weight and refueling is formed on a straight line whose center passes through both centers of the crankshaft and the crankpin. It is known that a hole is formed in the crankpin so as to be offset from the center of the crankpin to the side opposite to the crank journal.
[0003]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
In the conventional crankshaft configured as described above, the center of gravity of the crankpin is offset from the center of the crankpin toward the crank journal side, which is smaller than that of the conventional crankshaft in which a hole of the same diameter is formed in the center of the crankpin. While reducing the moment of inertia of the crankpin around the center of the crank journal, the thickness of the portion of the crankpin that receives the explosive load is minimized, thus reducing the weight and securing the strength of the crankpin. Compatibility is difficult.
[0004]
The present invention has been made in view of the above circumstances, and aims to reduce the moment of inertia of the crankpin around the center of the crank journal and to secure the desired strength of the crankpin. The purpose is to provide.
[0005]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to achieve the above object, the present invention provides a crank journal supported by a crankcase, a crank web extending radially outward from an end of the crank journal, and a crank web parallel to the crank journal from a tip end of the crank web. And a crank pin for supporting the large end of the connecting rod. The crank pin is provided with a hole extending parallel to the center line of the crank pin. A first feature is that the crankshaft is offset from the Y axis passing through both centers of the pin toward the front in the revolution direction of the crankpin.
[0006]
According to this first feature, when the center of the hole is offset from the Y-axis to the front side in the revolving direction of the crankpin, when an explosion load is applied to the crankpin from the piston via the connecting rod in the expansion stroke of the engine, that The explosive load acts on the part of the crankpin that deviates from the thinnest part, and the thickness of the crankpin at the point where the explosive load acts increases as the expansion stroke progresses. The strength of the crank pin is high, and its durability can be improved. Further, the offset arrangement of the holes enables the diameter of the holes to be increased, thereby reducing the weight of the crankpin, and further reducing the moment of inertia of the crankpin with respect to the center of the crank journal, thereby improving the acceleration of the engine. Can contribute.
[0007]
According to the present invention, in addition to the first feature, the hole communicates with the discharge side of the oil pump and communicates with the inner peripheral surface of the large end of the connecting rod through an oil supply hole formed in the crankpin. This is the second feature.
[0008]
According to the second feature, the hole can be used as an oil hole for lubricating the inner peripheral surface of the large end of the connecting rod.
[0009]
Further, in addition to the first feature, in the present invention, the center of the hole is further offset from the X-axis orthogonal to the Y-axis at the center of the crankpin toward the side opposite to the crank journal, and the hole is inserted into the oil pump. A third communication with the discharge side and the inner peripheral surface of the large end of the connecting rod through a lubrication hole formed in a thin portion of the crankpin on a straight line passing through the center of the hole and the center of the crankpin. Features.
[0010]
According to the third feature, the center of gravity of the crankpin is shifted from the center of the pin by the offset of the center of the hole with respect to the Y-axis and the X-axis and the drilling of the oil supply hole in the thin portion of the crankpin. As a result, the moment of inertia of the crank pin with respect to the center of the crank journal is reduced, which can contribute to improving the acceleration of the engine. Further, since the radius of rotation of the oil supply hole to the center of the crank journal is large, centrifugal force effectively acts on the oil in the oil supply hole, and the inner peripheral surface of the large end of the connecting rod can be satisfactorily lubricated.
[0011]
Still further, according to the present invention, in addition to the third feature, the crank web is formed integrally with the crank journal, and the crank pin is press-fitted into a connection hole provided in the crank web. The fourth feature is that the position is set.
[0012]
According to the fourth feature, by adjusting the press-fitting position of the crankpin, the offset amount of the center of the hole of the crankpin with respect to the Y-axis and the X-axis and the phase of the lubrication hole can be set freely. Can be enhanced.
[0013]
Further, in the present invention, in addition to the first feature, a fifth feature is that a center of the hole is arranged on an X axis orthogonal to the Y axis at a center of the crankpin.
[0014]
According to the fifth feature, it is possible to sufficiently increase the thickness of the crankpin at the point where an explosion load is applied during the expansion stroke of the engine, despite the presence of the hole in the crankpin. The strength of the pin can be further increased to further improve its durability.
[0015]
Still further, according to the present invention, in addition to the fifth feature, the hole is communicated with a discharge side of an oil pump, and an oil supply hole formed in a crankpin at a position offset from the X axis to a side opposite to the crank journal is provided. A sixth feature is that the connecting rod communicates with the inner peripheral surface of the large end portion via the connecting rod.
[0016]
According to the sixth feature, even when the hole is located on the X axis, the lubrication hole is provided on the crank pin offset from the X axis toward the side opposite to the crank journal. The pin is located closer to the crank journal than the center of the pin, so that the moment of inertia of the crank pin with respect to the center of the crank journal is reduced, and the acceleration of the engine can be improved.

【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the first aspect of the present invention, a crank journal supported by a crankcase, a crank web extending radially outward from an end of the crank journal, and a crank web extending from a tip end of the crank web are provided. A crankpin extending parallel to the journal and supporting the large end of the connecting rod, the crankpin being provided with a hole extending parallel to the center line thereof. Since the Y-axis passing through both centers of the journal and the crankpin is offset forward of the revolution direction of the crankpin, when an explosion load is applied to the crankpin from the piston via the connecting rod during the expansion stroke of the engine, the explosion load is At the position deviated from the thinnest part of the pipe, and as the expansion stroke progresses. Since explosion load so that increases in the thickness of the crank pin at the point which acts Te, the strength of the crank pin is high, it is possible to improve its durability. Further, the offset arrangement of the holes enables the diameter of the holes to be increased, thereby reducing the weight of the crankpin, and further reducing the moment of inertia of the crankpin with respect to the center of the crank journal, thereby improving the acceleration of the engine. Can contribute.
[0047]
According to a second feature of the present invention, in addition to the first feature, the hole communicates with the discharge side of the oil pump and is connected to a large end portion of the connecting rod through an oil supply hole formed in a crank pin. Since the hole is communicated with the peripheral surface, the hole can be used as an oil hole for lubricating the inner peripheral surface of the large end of the connecting rod.
[0048]
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in addition to the first aspect, the center of the hole is further offset from the X-axis orthogonal to the Y-axis at the center of the crankpin to the side opposite to the crank journal. This hole communicates with the discharge side of the oil pump, and is connected to the inner peripheral surface of the large end of the connecting rod through an oil supply hole drilled in the thin part of the crankpin on a straight line passing through the center of this hole and the center of the crankpin. Because of the communication, the center of gravity of the crankpin is located closer to the crank journal than the center of the pin. Therefore, it is possible to reduce the moment of inertia of the crankpin with respect to the center of the crank journal to improve the acceleration of the engine. it can. Further, since the radius of rotation of the oil supply hole to the center of the crank journal is large, centrifugal force effectively acts on the oil in the oil supply hole, and the inner peripheral surface of the large end of the connecting rod can be satisfactorily lubricated.
[0049]
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in addition to the third aspect, a crank web is formed integrally with the crank journal, and a crank pin is press-fitted into a connection hole provided in the crank web, and the press-fitting is performed. Since the position of the hole and the lubrication hole is set according to the position, the offset amount of the center of the hole of the crankpin with respect to the Y axis and the X axis and the phase of the lubrication hole can be freely set by adjusting the press-fitting position of the crankpin. And versatility can be improved.
[0050]
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, in addition to the first aspect, the center of the hole is arranged on the X axis orthogonal to the Y axis at the center of the crankpin, so that the hole in the crankpin is formed. Despite the existence of the crankpin, it is possible to increase the thickness of the crankpin at the point where the explosion load acts during the expansion stroke of the engine, thereby increasing the strength of the crankpin and improving its durability. Further improvement can be achieved.
[0051]
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, in addition to the fifth aspect, the hole communicates with the discharge side of the oil pump, and the crank pin is offset from the X-axis toward the crank journal side. The center of gravity of the crankpin is located closer to the crank journal than the center of the pin, even though the hole is located on the X-axis, because it communicates with the inner peripheral surface of the large end of the connecting rod via the oiling hole drilled in the hole. Therefore, the moment of inertia of the crankpin with respect to the center of the crank journal is reduced, and the acceleration of the engine can be improved.
