909,623. Motor vehicle hydraulic driving gear. AUSTIN MOTOR CO. Ltd. Aug. 16, 1961 [July 28, 1960], No. 26229/60. Class 79(2). An engine 1, disposed transversely at one end of a motor vehicle, drives, direct from its flywheel 2, a variable-capacity hydrostatic pump 3 which motivates, through pipes 4 and 5, two hydrostatic motors 6 and 7, which are situated within the sump 8 of engine 1 and which independently drive, through universally-jointed drive-shafts 9 and 10 respectively, one each of the road wheels 15 at that end of the vehicle at which engine 1 is located.
