Class 137 [Also in Group XXIII] A cabinet for enabling assembly operations, repairs to be carried out in a dust free atmosphere has an access opening 2 in the front wall there being an air duct 4 arranged to direct a stream of air past the opening 2 to act as an air curtain or barrier. The duct 4 is formed between the top wall of the cabinet and a spaced internal wall 5 and terminates in an air delivery duct aperture 6 extending along and above the opening 2. The duct 4 communicates at the other end with a plenum chamber 7 having a filter covered air intake opening 8, an electric heater and an electric fan by means of which heated air is applied under pressure through the duct to the aperture 6. A deflector 10 deflects the descending air stream rearwardly. A viewing window 3 is provided. In a modification a cabinet, mounted on a bench, is divided longitudinally to form a double cabinet, each half being sub-divided into several working compartments. Each half has a front access opening and an air duct which extends along and above each half.
