876,307. Cartons. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 2, 1960, No. 19554/60. Class 18. A parallelopipedal box or carton has a substantially flat, top and bottom, the other four sides each being formed of two mutually inclined surfaces and bounded on two opposite sides by integral triangular portions, adjacent ones of which are seamed together to form struts. The embodiment shown is folded up, see Fig. 1, from two blanks, one as in Fig. 3, the other being identical except that its ends lack the dovetailing 3, 4. Cut outs 5-8 combine with score lines in the formation of the struts, strapped together at 17. In a modification, the scores 9, 10 of the two blanks are non-coincident, the cut-outs may be dispensed with, as may the dovetailing, or the struts may be inside the carton.
