Abstract

822,395. Seats. MAUSER, R.. MAUSER, A., MAUSER, P., and MAUSER, E. July 11, 1957 [Dec. 19, 1956(2)], No. 21994/57. Class 52(2) A chair framework has an annular seat frame 1 passing through an annular backrest frame 2 so that the surface sectors end in a diverging opening 4 and an underframe 6 is joined on at the contact points 5 of frames 1 and 2, the seat and backrest having fabric 3. In a modification, Fig. 4, the seat 11 and backrest 12 are troughshaped with an underframe 13 connected at their contact points. In a further modification, Fig. 5, a three-legged chair has an integral seat frame 23 and rear legs 21 with a back frame 25 welded thereto at the points 22 where the legs merge into the seat frame. In another modification, Fig. 6, rear legs 21 and seat frame are integral and back frame 25 and front legs 26 may form a single member. In yet another modification the seat ring 31 and backrest ring 32 have a closed form passing beyond the point of intersection 33 where are joined on legs 34. A connecting beam 36 secures the seat ring.
