793,509. Locking nuts. ILLINOIS TOOL WORKS. Sept. 20, 1956 [Sept. 27, 1955], No. 28810/56. Class 89(1) [Also in Group XXII] A sheet-metal lock-washer comprises a pyramidal body 10, Fig. 2, of regular polygonal outline, e.g. square, with flat faces 24 and a hole 28 in the apex. Prongs 30 extend radially inwards from the periphery of the hole and are twisted. The corners of the body may be removed as at 22, or bent down as at 22a, Fig. 6, to bite into the surface of an article 14a against which the washer bears.
