Abstract

790,572. Static pressure probes on aircraft. SOC. NATIONALE DE CONSTRUCTIONS AERONAUTIQUES DU NORD. Oct. 24, 1955 [Feb. 19, 1955], No. 30332/55. Class 4. A probe 1 having a static pressure detecting point 1a is mounted on a transonic aircraft fin 4 in a rearwardly directed position in order that the point 1a is situated in an undisturbed zone aft of the rearmost pressure wave 03 and substantially downstream of the turbulent wake zone of the aircraft over a range of speeds including 0À85-1À1 Mach.
