784,242. Spinning-spindle bearings. SCRAGG, Ltd., S. & E., and SCRAGG, F. May 11, 1956 [March 26, 1955], No. 8887/55. Addition to 743,751. Class 12 (1). In a mounting for a yarn winding and twisting machine spindle of the kind described in the parent Specification, the damping washer comprises a diaphragm M of oil-resisting rubber which is disposed between and secured to two metal rings N, O. The outer ring is secured to the upper end of the cup H and the inner ring O grips the sleeve C and is movable thereon to alter the tension in the diaphragm. A flange E, provided on the lower end of the sleeve C, is located between resilient washers F, G disposed between a screwed cap L and flange K of the cup H.
