Abstract

734,915. Roller mills. MIAG MUEHLENBAU UND INDUSTRIE GES. Sept. 18, 1953 [Sept. 19, 1952], No. 25787/53. Class 59. In a feeding mechanism for roller mills comprising two feed rollers 13, 14 and a manually or automatically adjustable feeding slide 3 which can be moved from one feed roller to the other, the slide 3 and its adjusting means are supported by a pair of plates 1 which are pivotally mounted on a bolt 11 so that the slide 3 can be swung from one feed roller to the other without affecting its adjustment. The plates 1 are secured in either of their end positions by means of screw bolts 10. The plates 1 are connected by means of a plate 15 which forms a wall of the charging shoot 16 of the mill. In the form shown, an impact bar 5 actuated from a servo-governor passes through a bore in the bolt 11 and engages an adjustment head-piece 4 which is pivotable about an axis 6. A guide 8 is pivotally connected to the head-piece 4 and to the lever 9 of the slide 3, and the lever 9 is pivotally connected to the plates 1.
