Abstract

723,853. Linear-dimension gauges. INSTRUMENT AKTIEBOLAGET METRON. Dec. 16, 1952, No. 31874/52. Class 106 (2). A dial gauge comprises a flexible metal strip 5 connecting the gauge feeler 1 to a rotatable drum 6<1> for driving a pointer, and a spring 21 connected at one end to the gauge casing 23 and carrying at its free end 22 a rotatably mounted eccentric sheave 8, the sheave 8 being connected by flexible metal strips 7 and 9 to the drum 6<1> and the feeler 1 respectively. As shown, the metal strips 7 and 9 are connected to a saddle 18 threaded onto the feeler 1, rotation of the feeler 1 by the knob 4 serving to zeroize the gauge.
