Abstract
693,669. Driving auxiliary parts. ATELIERS DE CONSTRUCTIONS MECANIQUES DE VEVEY SOC. ANON. July 31, 1951. No. 18068/51. Class 79 (ii) A power take-off shaft 4 is driven by a tractor motor and is mounted in a hollow shaft 3 in its speed-change gear box and is provided at its two ends with means 5 from which motive power is taken. The shaft 4 has a slidable member 6 keyed to it by which it can be either clutched to the shaft 3 so that it may be driven one speed or so that by means of a gear wheel on the member 6 which can be engaged with a gear wheel 8 on the input shaft of the gear box it can be driven at a second speed. The power take-off shaft is mounted so as to be on the longitudinal axis of the tractor and has a pulley 5 at each end.
