662,064. Refrigerators. ELECTROLUX, Ltd. Feb. 17, 1949 [March 2. 1948], No. 4339/49. Class 29 In a cabinet 10 cooled by absorption refrigerating apparatus 11 of the continuous cycle inert gas type, cold accumulators 17, cooled during periods of light load, are utilized during periods of increased load to freeze foods in the chamber, the food packets 19 being located between the charged accumulator plates are subjected to pressure. The refrigerator is intended for storing deep-freeze foods in packages 16 and the accumulators 17 are cooled during normal working when space is available. Non-frozen food packets 19 are then placed between the accumulators for deep freezing the pressure being produced by the weight of the plates. The accumulators may he arranged vertically, being pressed on the packets by a resilient clamp. The edges 21 of the accumulator plates are folded over, soldered and coated with asphaltic lacquer, and filling openings 22 are provided for the eutectic which may include an anticorrosive, e:g. sodium nitrate, potassium chromate or sodium chromate. The cabinet is cooled by an evaporating-condensing heat transfer system 13 in contact with the inner lining 14 of the chamber.
