Abstract

566,039. Windows. PERFECTA MOTOR EQUIPMENTS, Ltd., and BOSTOCK, C. W. April 21, 1943, No. 6441. Drawings to Specification. [Class 20 (iii)] The metal channels 15, 16 (Figs. 1 and 2 of Specification 566,038), in the side stiles of the frame in which the sashes of a double-sash window slide are formed with narrow longitudinal ribs and grooves g and a strip of close pile fabric k is secured to the outside of each of the side members h of the sashes. The fabric is woven with a cord in each longitudinal edge and is applied to a thin metal strip l of channel section, the free edges of the strip being rolled around the cords to form beads which are housed in grooves in the sashes. Similar fabric is positioned around upstanding ribs p, t on the top and bottom members of the upper sash and in a recess in the bottom member w of the lower sash. Specification 566,038 is referred to.
