Abstract

548,787. Tyre-valve connectors. WALTERS, B. Aug. 28, 1941, No. 10962. [Class 99 (i)] [Also in Group XXIX] In a coupling for a pneumatic tyre pressure gauge having two seatings 12, 20, Fig. 1, for a tyre valve nipple, pins 11, 22 for unseating a tyre valve, and an admission duct associated with each pin, the pin 11 is fixed and the movable pin 22 has a valve body 23 which may close either duct and open the other. The valve has a face 24 for seating on the inner face of the seating 20 and a face 25 for seating on the end of a duct 18 through the fixed pin and is preferably acted on by a spring 27. In a modification, a cylindrical valve body is guided by flanges or radial projections 28, Fig. 3, and has an axial recess housing the spring. Specification 336,518, [Class 99 (i)], is referred to.
