Abstract

517,257. Spectacle cases. LESSAR, H. L. Oct. 11, 1938, Nos. 29383 and 31305. [Class 97 (i)] A mount or frame is secured to the inside of the lid of a flat spectacle or pince-nez case, and carries means which grip the edge of a mirror laid against it. As shown, the case consists of a shallow sheet metal body 1 and a metal lid 2 hinged thereto at 3. From the lid 2 are pressed prongs 6 which engage slots in a metal mount 8 and are clinched upon one face thereof. A metal mirror 12 is held in position by tongues 9 or beaded edges on the mount. The mount may alternatively be of skeleton form, and may be made of rubber or resin. Reference is made to mirrors secured inside the lid of the case by soldering, rivets, or adhesive.
