[Class 122 (i)] In an engine with four connecting-rods comprising a master rod A secured to the big end and other rods C<2>, D<3>, D4, pivoted to the big end, one or more of the pivot pins are arranged between the contacting faces of the halves of the big end to prevent relative movement thereof. The big end may be divided in a plane transverse to or coaxial with the master rod. The foot of the master rod is concave and engages a convex seating on the big end.
