[Class 94 (i)] A package is formed by enclosing an article in a wrapper 6 slit at 8 ... 11 to form closing flaps 12.. 15. The wrapper is applied as shown in Fig. 3 with the panels 16, 17 overlapping on one side of the article. The outer overlapping portion 16 is weakened by slitting or perforating at 22 to provide a tongue 23 adjacent the line of folding. The flaps, each of which forms a longitudinal extension of the wrapper at the side of the package, are folded down in the order 21, 20, 13, 12, and secured by adhesive. A strip of material may be placed to extend from beneath the tongue to the edge of the flap to form a reinforcement.
