Abstract

417,246. Conveyers; vehicle fittings for loading. ETABLISSEMENTS HARDY ET CIE, 8, Rue de Conflans, Montigny-les- Cozmeilles, Seine-et-Oise, France. Dec. 29, 1932, No. 36814. Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, July 5, 1933]. [Classes 78 (i) and 78 (iv).] A belt conveyer which may form a moving vehicle floor for loading and unloading comprises a series of rigid plates 2 hinged together at their edges by straps 3 and by hinge pins 4 which make contact with the plates over their whole width. The hinge-joints may be covered by a strip 16 of leather, balata, rubber, &c. The movable vehicle floor rests on bars 13 on crossmembers 14 forming a resilient support. A vertical wall 6 is mounted on one end of the movable floor which winds at the other end on a polygonal roller. The wall 6 carries flexible strips 8 at each side which are kept against the sides of the vehicle by rollers. The edges of the floor are fitted with flexible strips 18. The end doors 19 are made tight by strips bearing against the posts and the floor. To prevent bulging the walls 7 are stayed by stretcher rods 20 passing through brackets 21, 22, the central brackets being longer than the others.
