Abstract

354,833. Inking - apparatus. LINOTYPE & MACHINERY, Ltd., 9, Kingsway, London, and SPENCE, F., Barwick House, Washway Road, Ashton-on-Mersey. May 16, 1930, No. 15067. [Class 100 (ii).] Angular adjusting means for the doctor blade 4 of a rotary intaglio printing-machine are carried by a yoke 8 slidably connected with the camoperated blade-shaft rocking lever 9. The adjusting means comprise a hand-operated worm 15 and a worm wheel 14 secured to the doctor blade shaft 7 ; and may be locked in any desired position by means of a screw 19 threaded in the yoke 8. A scale and pointer may be provided on the worm wheel and voke to indicate the angle of adjustment. The sliding connection 20 permits longitudinal motion of the adjusting gear relative to the rocking arm 9. Clamps 5 are provided for lateral adjustment of the doctor blade, the rocking motion of which may be limited by an adjustable stop 13.
