Abstract

300,759. Webb, G. W. C. Oct. 17, 1927. Toothed gearing.- Eccentric epicyclic gearing of the type either in which the internal wheel is stationary and the spur wheel, carried by the driving eccentric, is connected by a flexible coupling to the driven shaft or vice versa, has at least the flanks A, B of the teeth 5 of the spur wheel 4 of hypocycloidal form produced by a generating circle 8 approximately equal in diameter to the throw of the eccentric. The teeth of the spur wheel may be substantially twice as thick as those 6 of the internal wheel. Two constructional forms of gearing embodying the invention are shown.
