Seats, arrangement and disposition of. - In a reversible or one-direction double - deck passenger vehicle such as a tramcar, railway carriage, motorbus, or rail-less trolly vehicle, two staircases are arranged between the decks under or above which, in the case of a tramcar, cross-seats 9 may be disposed while additional passengers may be accommodated on folding seats 12 on the platforms. In Figs. 10 and 13 an arrangement is shown for increasing the accommodation when desired in a motor-bus, the exit staircase 3 being pivoted so as to be swung forwardly as shown in dotted lines, Fig. 13, and a hinged trap-door 11 being folded down to give increased space on the upper deck 2, while on the lower deck 1 a seat 10 on the rear of the staircase may be brought into use and one half-door 14 closed so that a collapsable seat 12 on the platform 5 may be made available.
