Pipettes.-A pipette or like measuring instrument p is fitted. with a charging and discharging device comprising a cylinder a containing a piston b controlled by a spring f. The piston rod g passes through a hollow screw c adjustably mounted in the top of the cylinder. The screw c is adjusted to give the desired range of movement to the piston, and is locked in position by a nut e.
