Abstract
218,977. Im Schlaa, F. July 12, 1923, [Convention date]. Rolling wheels and discs; axial rolling.-In a machine for cold rolling a rim on a metal disc such as is used in the manufacture of sprocket wheels, the disc i is clamped between plates k, k<1>, and rolled by means of a pair of oppositely disposed grooved rollers h, h<1> which are positively driven by spur gearing from a common wheel n actuated from a driving pulley through the gears l, m. The rollers are mounted in levers a, a<1> pivoted at b, b<1>, respectively and forced towards the work to form the rim by means of cams g, g<1> driven by gearing s, s'.
