Abstract

19,541. Stamm, H. Sept. 8. Breech actions, sliding breech-block. - Consists in special means for so mounting the extractor, in rifles having a straight-pull bolt action, that the extractor moves longitudinally with the breech-bolt but does not rotate with it. The extractor 10 is slidingly mounted in an undercut groove in the non-rotary actuating- sleeve 3 and has, on the front portion projecting beyond the sleeve, a stud 11 which enters a cross groove in the rotary breechbolt 1. The sleeve is slipped on the bolt from the front, and the extractor forms a stop to limit the forward movement of the sleeve 3 when the bolt and sleeve have been removed from the gun.
