Abstract

24,342. Walker, J. April 23, 1910. Locking by frictional detents.-Mail-carts, bassinettes, and like vehicles, when left unattended, have the front or rear wheels locked by brake shoes f<1> pulled on to them by adjustable springs. The shoes are carried by a cross-bar g, the length of which can be adjusted to suit the width of the vehicle. The attendant removes the brake by turning a handle at the top of the rod t, to which the shoes are adjustably connected.
