Abstract
1522016 Data transmission SIEMENS AG 24 Sept 1975 [27 Sept 1974] 39065/75 Heading H4P In a data transmission system similar to that described in Specification 1,522,015 having ARQ error correcting facilities, a repetition request pulse from the receiver of a master station is emitted to an intermediate store, and with the occurrence of the next transmitting character timing pulse when the transmitter repetition counter is in its rest state, the repetition request pulse is supplied to the transmitter from the intermediate store and the transmitter repetition counter is triggered. At the same time a repetition request signal is transmitted to the slave station and the intermediate store is erased so that it is immediately ready to store a new repetition request pulse, whereby a range of transit time fluctuations occurring on the transmission link are automatically compensated in that after the receiver of the master station has supplied its repetition request pulse to the intermediate store, the latter enables the transmitter of the master station to transmit its repetition request signal in accordance with its own character timing pulse train.
