Abstract

151,136. Croll, E. S. July 29, 1919. Safety - valves; vacuum relief valves.- A combined pressure and vacuum relief valve, particularly applicable for use in telemotor apparatus, has concentricallyarranged valves adapted to be removed as a unit from the valve casing. The pressure-relief valve D seats on a shoulder J formed on a ported casing A and is loaded by a spring K surrounding a ported tubular spindle H and tensioned by a plug R screwed into the casing. The vacuum - relief valve E is guided by wings V to seat on the lower end of the pressure-relief valve, and is loaded bv a light spring P arranged between the pressure valve and a collar Q on the spindle M. A screwed spindle R<1> extending through the top of the replenishing tank is provided for engaging the top cf the tubular spindle to hold the pressure valve to its seat when charging the apparatus.
