Abstract
1467647 Multi-colour copying AGFAGEVAERT AG 21 Feb 1974 [21 Feb 1973] 7885/74 Heading G2A Line-by-line multi-colour electrophotocopying apparatus comprises three spaced relatively fixed illumination slits, associated with respective primary colour illumination sources 10-15, and three corresponding similarly situated colour development devices 26-28, using complementary colour toner, each preceded by a charging device and an exposure slit. Either the illuminating devices or the original and either the exposure/development devices or the copy material are moved during copying. As shown, the illumination and exposure/ development devices are fixed. Alternatively, the illumination device above Fig. 4 (not shown) or both the illumination and exposure/development devices Figs. 1 and 5 (not shown) may be moved during exposure. In the latter case, the devices may be connected by a traction cord, (Fig. 1) or supported on a common carriage (Fig. 5). The copy material may be fed from a reel and cut after copying. The light sources may be fluorescent tubes with Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown) or without, as shown, colour filters. Suspended toner is fed to and depleted carrier liquid is withdrawn from each development device at a suitable rate.
