Abstract

1457812 Spark-plugs HITACHI Ltd 4 March 1974 [19 March 1973] 9661/74 Heading F1B A multiple-gap type spark-plug comprises a central electrode 3 having a tip portion 4 of cylindrical shape and a plurality of earth electrodes 18 each bonded at one end thereof to an end-face 17 of the plug body 5 to surround the central electrode, the central electrode and the earth electrodes being arranged such that a spark gap G is defined between the tip portion 4 of the central electrode and the other end 19 of each of the earth electrodes so that a plurality of circumferential spark gaps are provided, the plurality of spark gaps being equal in size and ranging from 1À0 to 1À8 mm in size and from 3 to 6 in number. The electrodes may be made of nickel alloy.
