1449220 Seals SPERRY RAND CORP 5 Dec 1973 [11 Dec 1972] 56401/73 Heading F2B A lip seal of C-shaped cross-section is reinforced by wholly or part filling the hollow of the C with a ring of softer elastomeric material, e.g. a silicone rubber adhesive sealant 24 bonded to the seal body. A garter spring 20 may be embedded in the ring.
