Abstract

1447856 Printing apparatus C DUCKWORTH 29 Nov 1973 [31 Aug 1972] 40398/72 Heading B6C [Also in Divisions B5 and D1] Laboratory printing apparatus comprises a driver roller 25 and one or more pressure rollers 24, 26 forming an adjustable nip therewith, the rollers being carried in a frame assembly pivotal between horizontal and vertical positions, support rods 32 for mounting ancillary equipment also being provided. Roller printing is performed by mounting a fabric feed 41 and supply 42 of backing paper on the rods 32 and employing an engraved roller 43 and blanket roller 44. Embossing can be effected (Fig. 7, not shown) using an engraved roller (45), elastic bowl (46) and infra-red heater (47).
