Abstract

1423723 Shearing; making corrugated plates KOMBINAT UNFORMTECHNIK ERFURT VEB 23 March 1973 14046/73 Headings B3W and B3A Lengths of metal strip corrugated by tools 6, 6A are severed to form plates such as laminar flow, or vortex cell plates by shearing action between a blade 5 and a shearing edge on the bending tool 6. The blade holder 3 is pivoted at 2 to a resiliently mounted base 1 and urged to horizontal rest position by a spring 4. The shear blade 5 is stopped during its downward movement with the base 1 by one or more bolts 10 which are raised by means of a cam 9 moved by a solenoid 7 and co-operates with a shearing edge on the tool 6 as the tool completes a bending stroke. The cam is returned by a spring 11.
