Abstract

1404982 Fencing BALOGLAZE Ltd 28 March 1973 [13 Jan 1972] 1577/72 Heading E1B In a balustrade comprising uprights 10 with vertical glazing channels 15, each of the upper ends of the uprights is joined to the rail 25 by a threaded stud 27 which passes through an intermediate block 30. The stud 27 has a head 26 and is screwed into a threaded bore 22 in the upright 10 by revolving the block 30 which has a slot 32 engaging a wing nut 31 screwed onto the stud. A neoprene washer 24 is interposed between the block 30 and the upright 10. The uprights are formed with vertically extending dovetail slot 21 which receive the ends of metal glazing members 20 and neoprene glazing strips 19 for reinforced glass panels 18. The ends of the uprights 10, of the glazing members 20, and of the glass panels 18, may be angled for use on a gradient. Sections of railing may be joined at corners by connectors 33 having dovetail projections 35 on their flanges 34.
