Abstract
1355626 Knitting-machines STIBBE-MONK DEVELOPMENTS Ltd 26 Jan 1973 [7 Feb 1972] 5574/72 Heading D1C A V-bed machine on which non-rib fabric may be knitted includes a loop retaining plate or plates movable into an operative position against the back of needles of one bed. The plate 5 is held onto a support 8 by springs 10. It is raised by a pneumatic ram and forced against needles of bed 2 by contact with bed 1. It is returned to a lower, inoperative, position by springs 19. If the fabric is to be fashioned two plates at the ends of the bed and movable with the fashioning screws are provided.
