Abstract

1288344 Anti-felt finishes KUFNER TEXTILWERKE KG 19 April 1971 [14 May 1970] 9901/71 Heading DIP Animal fibres, e.g. wool and camel hair, are given an anti-felt finish by applying thereto an aqueous solution of an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic di or polyamine and then a second aqueous solution, which is a known anti-felting solution and comprises a salt of a synthetic polymeric base e.g. polyurethane sulphonium halide or a salt of an aminopolyamide with an acid and heating so as to deposit the polymer on the fibre. The polymer solution may be buffered with sodium acetate and contain other finishing additives such as urea, methylol compounds, formaldehyde, urotropin, polyethylene and methacrylate dispersions, urea resins and melamine resins. The amine solution may be applied at 95‹C and the fibre dried after such treatment.
